As far as I can tell, they are pretty united that the Truckers are a bunch of asshats.

I like Carplay, but I don’t want this. In fact, I don’t think the infotainment system should relate to vehicle controls at all - a failed touchscreen now locks you out of a ton of vehicle functionality and there’s no way for the aftermarket to fill in. Unless this became a common standard so any Carplay head

A few thoughts from a UI designer here:

If only there was a solution to HVAC and similar controls that didn’t rely on a digital, virtual interface based in these kinds of power struggles. If only...

Same with MN. Most Kwik Trips only have ethanol-free Premium.

I knew it would cost a shit ton as soon as I saw the photos.

A compromise could be just limiting the speed to something appropriate for moving a car out of the way and basically nothing else.

If it saves lives then I don't care about the 8 minutes a year you waste.

Yup, that extra 2 seconds to snap in is a real pain in the ass I tell ya’

Easy. Batteries will go where the engine and transmission are located. The electric motor will fill the space vacated by the removal of the rear differential and fuel tank.

Lol are you kidding me? My Mini Cooper trunk holds 6 bags of groceries. A 4'4" bed is a CAVERN to most people not used to a full-size truck bed. Heck, it’s only about a foot shorter than the beds most truck drivers are used to (since crew cab short beds are the most commonly sold truck).

The price is right, the specs are great.  But man that front end doesn’t work for me.  Should have used the nose from the Bronco Sport.

This thing got like 1/100th of the buildup and fanfare the Bronco got, but imo, is 100x more important.

Seems like the best version. Screw the mega screen crap.

Were I in the market, this is absolutely the version I’d be interested in.

I drive until the car runs out. Then I pop the trunk, grab a plastic bag of gas, pour it into the tank/on my fender/on the ground, then drive to the nearest gas station. Easy.

$100,300 - what’s funny is that only people on this site would know every purchase price of every car. I just rattled off my 7 purchases from age 16-31 with no hesitation.

It’s equally weird living in Phoenix for 20+ years and then going other places and seeing cars with rust on them. Even relatively new cars, like less than 10 years old, I can’t believe it.

Nebraska, a state so horrid that the act of driving through it actually made me say out loud THANK GOD, IOWA!

If you ever get back to the Tail of the Dragon area, I recommend checking out a lot of the surrounding roads if you haven’t already. Cherohala Skyway, Moonshiner 28 & Devil’s Triangle are 3 in particular that are amazing and far less touristy.
