I'm glad to see the show with a strong direction forward, and hopefully they'll follow up on it more solidly than they did last season. I was a big fan of last season, especially the finale, but I agree that it simply didn't have the strong connectivity between episodes that made season one worth the slow burn.

I think there's more of a sense of vulnerability from Gillan than there was from the writing for Rytter's character in DTTB, but it seems similar in many ways, yes..

It's a Möbius strip of artifice - it goes around and comes back upside down as authenticity. :)

Woah, I totally missed that "Sup" was named Freddy. Redfaced now…

I thought that was quite funny, if a bit creepy. For all the Pygmalion references, Henry really has a lot to learn (which, to be fair to GBS, he was pretty clear that Higgins was not complete in his education and experience either).

I was merely quoting Eliza on Bryn. While I think Bryn is probably a sincere character, she's definitely a hipster. :)

While I really enjoyed the pilot, this episode felt like a really fresh and fun direction, without quite as much bite that made the tone waggle so much that they needed to recut the pilot. Gillan and Cho remain absolutely watchable, and I liked the re-incorporation of Bryn the Hipstercrite a lot. I hope that in

I'm looking forward to this, mostly because of Claire Foy. Glad to see she gets a nod here, even if it's for working hard with poor material.

A really great moment.

Good info! Thanks!

Are video recordings made without the consent of one of the parties enough?

Thanks for that - love hearing that kind of insight. I'm very confused as to why none of the Brits or other UK actors didn't mention the "Agency" thing to the director or writers.

Great analysis, but I'm not convinced that Sherlock and Watson want to have sex with each other. I think they do care deeply about each other, but (maybe it's my non-shipper-canon-eyeglasses here) I just don't see (or want to see) them making out or falling into bed together.

Sorry. Was not sarcastic at all - I was just so excited that someone else was confused about why Sherlock hated Mycroft so much (especially since I had a discussion last night where I was repeatedly informed that such hatred it totally normal, despite my own relationships with my brothers being quite different, even

They certainly come before orthography.

While I can to some extent empathize with the fundamental principals of comradeship and honor that underlie the bro code, I absolutely reject it's current iteration and articulation.

Ouch? I was enthusiastically glomping on you in agreement.

Well said. I think there are still many, many threads that could have made the serial nature of the season more compelling, but I think you've hit on what I found important about the last half of the season - it may not have picked up the threads I wanted them to, but they did have the thread of "what does it actually

The problem is, I feel, that I have a more solid grasp on Sherlock's relationship with his father, who we've never seen, than on his relationship with Mycroft, who we've had about 7 episodes of.
