Probably a big contributing factor is that dodge pickups are the cheapest trucks out there, barring maybe Nissan, honda, and the >300k mile cummins trucks. Lowest barrier to entry to big trucks driving like drunks.

I’d rather have a PHEV F150 than full electric, and I think would be a better stepping stone. I mean a 20 mile electric range that would be useful, unlike the Ram’s 48V mild hybrid that can’t drive on just electric.
