here’s martin o’malley-cat in our local coffee shop. strummin’ away.
ha! thanks! i’ve got a 10 year old son who is special needs and he has been going on and on about how he needs a millennium falcon for xmas, a *medium sized* millennium falcon. very specific. 13 year old daughter, also star war. it’s a very star wars christmas at the milk and honey house this year.
so gross.
when i clicked on the facebook trending piece about carrie fisher being asked to lose weight for the new film, the comments were sickening. middle aged men demanding that she be a sexy older version of leia, because some of them would still like to fantasize about her.
that aside, i’ve got a 7 year old who desperately…
yes. as of next week i will have my first teenager, and damn she can be a real shit. love her. she’s been through hell, but she can also be a real shit.
i love this. i really see the “give mom a drink” mentality as another way to patronize mothers. as a mother of 3 (one of whom is mentally disabled), working outside the home, and also running a farm at home i do find myself saying “i need a drink” but not really meaning it in a way that would mean, “i have to have a…
gaaahh! things that frustrate my brain: 1. the fact that i don’t understand that email. 2. seeing this type of programming taken away. as a parent of a special needs son, i see the need for these kinds of programs and they are few and far between! (am also a kid’s yoga instructor).
ugh, gross. i love jez because of the mix of articles. serious stuff and fluff stuff. also, mark made me laugh so much.
jezzies, i’m devastated. my neighbor ran over my 7 year old maltipoo this weekend. she died in my husbands arms while our kids and i were in town. so not only am i mourning my pet, but everybody just expects you to keep getting on with your life, like you didn’t just lose an important member of your family. i keep…
garbage individuals like it is why i hate most other humans.
her auntie lives in my town. everybody talks about what a nice girl she is. bit of trivia, the mannequin in this album cover is from the consignment store in our town.
Uuuugh, The Doctor has laid this out for us before. Doesn’t work that way.
so i get to watch twd on mondays when it’s available on amazon. my husband and i were sitting there watching it happen and i was like “no way. this is bullshit. not even a good, big death. why would they waste his death like this? they could have made it great. this is bullshit.” i wasn’t even yelling or sad or mad. i…
also supports keystone xl pipeline. so, there’s that too.
uh, can we get this guy down here? i mean, it sounds like he’s got a steady gig now, but jeez louise!
so many thanks to everyone! i am grateful for all the suggestions.
thank you, a few people have recommended this. she’s pr, but her birth mom kind of rejected her heritage, so my girl is a little lost as to where to start, and i’m probably not an ideal guide, but i’m what she’s got.
yes! on the latin music too! she doesn’t speak spanish and mine is barely passable (for me it was a case of “you don’t use it you lose it!) but i’m trying to encourage her as much as a mom can at this age. my kids basically get music in spanish or the grateful dead. poor kids.
