You still can’t read. I did not offer an opinion if climate change existed or not. I simply stated the fact of the matter. Without adjustments (and estimates to replace missing data) there is no warming trend to blame on CO2. The fact that there are adjustments and estimates that impose a signal on to the data are not

That just changes the meddling. More severe way of telling people what they may purchase.

Apparently honest discussion with you is not possible. CO2 and pollution are two different topics. As is urban planning.

You forgot the A-Team exception where there are horrific crashes and people walk away. Also the main character exception as shown in episodes of Magnum PI.

The ‘loophole’ was removed years ago.
What is considered CO2 induced “Climate Change” does not exist without the adjustments* to the various data sets but it does lead us down the road to technocracy. Technocracy as it was proposed long ago was that everyone would be allocated so many energy credits in which to live

No Kathy Newman, that’s not what I wrote. Again, Large cars were taken off the market to meet CAFE but the needs and wants of buyers did not change so they bought enclosed trucks.

CAFE took a big step up in ‘85. This killed off just about all the remaining large durable RWD V8 passenger cars. These were replaced by

Still drinking tainted koolaid eh turtleface.

There’s no free market. CAFE is intentionally designed to control market choices by penalizing automakers who don’t achieve it across the board. It’s not just paying gas guzzler taxes on some models, it’s paying on every car the manufacturer makes. The gas guzzler tax is a tax for not meeting the legislated minimum

We got SUVs in the first place because of CAFE. People’s needs and tastes didn’t change but the CAFE reduced the choice in the large passenger car market so dramatically people switched to enclosed trucks. But what’s the fix to government meddling? More government meddling!

How about we don’t let technocrats run our lives?

Now playing

There’s a small subset of humans that manipulate many others towards war. It was probably best stated by a Nazi:

Incompetence? American government is not incompetent. The people operating it have different goals than what people believe them to be. One of the primary goals is to carve out a permanent revenue stream for themselves. If they were to build a perfect or near perfect system that did not require constant human

Just some guy in the back dropping the bombs out an open window/hatch WW1 style?

“May we all live in a world where none of these planes are necessary any longer, and may they all be retired long before their time is due.”

Towing capacity often has more to do with the frame, transmission, drive axle(s), etc than the engine. If everything but the engine is the same I would expect a similar towing capacity rating.

In the 2003ish time frame I worked with a few people who had VWs. On any given day at least one of them would be on the phone with a mechanic for it. As a result I wouldn’t touch any VW made this century and possibly none made after the 1980s still true or not. It’s burned in. It even extends to the other German

The only error I’ve had with rock auto is they sent me two calipers in separate shipments when I ordered one. They told me to keep it. So I have a shiny caliper on the shelf. They were closeouts so I spent maybe $20 tops.

Amazon’s price changes. If I put something in my cart but don’t order it immediately when I go to order there’s a price jump. I haven’t been able to determine if it increases the price for everyone or just me yet. I suspect the later but so far my tests show the former.

Rockauto’s shipping slot-machine is a thing to behold. Sometimes it prices them right out of the market other times it’s dirt cheap. Sometimes the price of the shipping changes day to day. What’s really amazing is how adding one little part to the same order from the same warehouse can cause the shipping to jump.

If I

“Because some of us want the parts today, not in a few days.”
