Regulated businesses make their profit through the way the regulations are structured. It’s how it has worked for decades and decades. Doesn’t matter if it is democrats or republicans. The proposal and killing the proposal is just a political game for our benefit. This way one party can look better than the other but

“for reasons I can’t even begin to grasp”

When the intersection is properly engineered red light cameras do not make any money. They are money losers. Every place where RLCs were forced to use pre-automated enforcement yellow signal timings eventually had them removed for financial reasons.

The only exploit left is coming to a full stop for a right on red.

This is how those in power often act when a scam or racket of theirs is being uncovered. They attack based on a person’s credentials, licenses, or other forms official status. They do this because they cannot debate in the arena of reason. Math, science, engineering, and so forth will only further expose their scam.

It’s not a mustang, it’s not a truck, it’s a custom purpose built vehicle with some mustang body panels on it.

Dangerous? Big cats on the sunroof used to be standard equipment!

It’s a subtle form of click bait headline I suppose. I was already preparing to respond with ‘well that explains a lot’ thinking it was just an unaware person behind the wheel until I got to the end of the article. Then it’s oh, a drunk hit a sign, what else is new?

The videoing likely does cause more people to do stupid things but ages ago driving like this in a family car as a teenager would teach a person not to do it. It would happen at some random time without a crowd being around and the lack of power would provide a chance to recover. It wouldn’t even require being stupid.

CnC if I understand it correctly is just people meeting up at some business establishment, thus they have no power to prevent people from gathering on the sidewalk. Even if it was more than that, say renting out a venue, they still would have no power over people gathering on what is part of the public way.

“Fuck yea I’m seeing a wreck!”

Way I read his post he has painted cars for a living and has access to a booth.

He will if he is skilled and uses high quality materials unless he’s buying very high end cars. In which case he would probably spend more than 24hrs on it.

I noticed that BMW was charging extra for metallic colors when I last shopped for a car and I suppose that has only spread since. It just seems strange for something automakers have been doing since at least the 1970s without an up charge for even basic cars.

It has nothing to do with fair use. She would need to have a design patent to protect it. If she doesn’t have one all she can do is a public relations game. If she had one this exact copy would be a violation of it. However with a couple slight changes because the pie graph shape is common and as you mention it

There isn’t a need for motorists from two of the three approaches to stop. Part of why the intersection is screwed up is because it’s an all way stop at a low speed low volume intersection with likely few pedestrians. Marked crosswalks and a single stop sign is all that should be needed at the very most wrt traffic

I remember an old article on a Ford GT40 road car. GM had bought it, put it through whatever it is they did put it back together and offered employees to bid on it. At the time of the article the car was still owned by the GM engineer who was the highest bidder as I recall. It was probably written in the early 90s or

The idea is to know by feel when there’s more than meets the eye, stop, and go look for it or just decide those screws really don’t need to come out.

So spend decades building better idiots then proclaim people are idiots who can’t be trusted and have government/corporate programmed machines take over. The “logic” of technocracy at work.

Huh? They didn’t do anything I suggested (much later in the thread) with their chalk. They created a three way stop with screwy approach angles and stop line locations. The before picture the pavement is more or less fine and thank you for proving that and your work matches my later in thread descriptions as well. The

What I am doing? You’re deeply confused. I am for proper road design that allows the arterial roads to flow to keep the traffic there. I am for side streets being properly designed for good low speed flow. I’m not the one littering the landscape with superfluous and misused traffic control devices.
