So now we see your true dishonest nature. What I wrote was that ordinary people have burdensome tax rates. You brought up the estate tax as separate item. I never stated ordinary people were subject to the estate tax and you damn well know it. I specifically stated that a many modestly earning businesses have capital

Did I mention farms? No. Did I mention the estate tax could be worked around? Yes. Did I say it affected a large number of people? No. Now many families do you think own modest manufacturing businesses and so forth? It’s not going to be very many percentage wise. It is obvious you didn’t read and comprehend and

We live under a fiat money system. What you make today was a rich person only decades ago. And that’s only one mechanism by which this taxation moves downward. Furthermore the truly wealthy get more _from_ taxation than they pay.

Yes, that’s how it works. For instance speeding isn’t what it is claimed. In 1974 when the 55mph NMSL was claimed to save so many lives what actually happened besides the gas crisis (less driving) was government changed how it counted fatalities. It was not comparable to previous years and excluded many from the

I’ve been pulled over because of how I looked at cops who nearly caused collisions with me. It’s contempt of cop, their authoritah as Eric Cartman would put it.

The USDA mandates a universal mediocrity that favors industrial food producers. When companies try to do something better they face all sorts of problems. The federal government has used these laws to raid private organic food co-op’s. Michigan banned all but industrial farming pig breeds. People who sell raw milk to

And that’s why things are the way they are, because people maintain social fictions to be liked.

“That said, I do honestly wish they would do more things for the true common good, rather than just a subset of folks.”

Government’s stated goals aren’t their actual goals. Motorcycles are not acceptable to government’s actual goals. Remember government’s two primary goals are wealth accumulation for those in and near it while increasing the size and power of government. Promoting motorcycles does not do this. Promoting fancy electric

Looks like a background street scene prop from a 1980s sci-fi film or TV show.

Well lucky fuckin’ you.

The 19th century income tax was for the civil war and temporary.

Yes. Anyone who does not have or cannot afford work arounds pays list price on taxes and it quickly becomes a very large portion of income.

Under the 90% rate the tax code had many many specialized deductions and exemptions. No wealthy person paid it. Instead wealth was directed to where it would not be taxed. Instead it was vehicle to where wealthy people could exempt their income but those who did not know or own elected office holders were screwed.

You should stop believing in myths that will only see the middle class taxed more. There were so many deductions nobody actually paid anything close.

This is how the world works. Either become a corporation or be taxed excessively.

There were a number of station wagons from the 60s and 70s with huge V8s. There was even a GTO optioned wagon called “The Wagon”. So with cars of that vintage the sacrifice for space wasn’t as great.

This is the right thing to do. I would actually go older. From ‘79 to ‘89 were all sorts of light weight cars made that could accept modern high horsepower small engines. Most every make made them. Pick your favorite and go.

“There’s also a bit of Loewy’s trademark asymmetrical detailing in this design, with its drivers’-side-only badging (or lights?)“

They will never know an entire cub scout “den” stuffed into a ‘72 Country Squire.
