I’m still annoyed my dad sold that mach 1. For just about nothing. Sure it was well rusted and the dealer mechanics introduced a bunch of electrical gremlins and the toploader was hard to get into gear at times but.... if it had just been put away in that condition.... well let me just say I’ve seen rusted empty

‘67 Mustangs had seat belts.

What’s a child seat?

What’s with all these people getting rid of their Mustangs for kids?

Maybe he and Donald Trump can bond over this shared experience.

You only need the radio to turn on by itself to situational appropriate music.

Not a car. Something very much like this:

Anything that says ‘call for price’ or similar reads ‘go elsewhere’ for me. Anyone who wants to make me jump through hoops to buy something from them isn’t worth my time.

Want to bend the core support back into good enough shape?

Animals are learning but some aren’t. In my area the deer that live in the forest preserve use the pedestrian and bike trail bridges to cross major roads. I only see them along the road that doesn’t have an overpass or underpass.

Granada’s are stretched mavericks underneath, but Maverick’s are more like ‘68-’73 Mustangs than Falcons. Overall it’s the same basic set up, but still quite different.

I keep the VIN of my dad’s ‘69 Mach 1 in my wallet. I check every ‘69 and ‘70 sportsroof I see. I found one that was only about 250 units away once. I damn near thought I found it at first.

The decal said “Clifford Performance 6=8”

He can check the DSO code of the car to see where it was originally delivered. It should be a city close to where his uncle lived. However keep in mind that dealer trades and such could move a car around considerably before sold to the first person. The DSO code will be on the body tag/data plate and labeled as such.

CAFE is a very hideous piece of legislation. Most countries simply used taxes and other measures to push up the cost. CAFE punishes manufacturers financially for making too many of the cars in the first place. Hence there was no choice but to vanish them from the market.

Listen to E. Howard Hunt’s deathbed confession tape.

Just set off a DDT fogger and be done with it.

These cars were not built well to begin with so I don’t know why people are so damn’d concerned about panel gaps. They also dissolved in winter road salt.

So Nissan hasn’t been following Japanese government edict to the letter? The inspectors didn’t have the required piece of paper. So what? If it’s gone on for forty years they obviously did a good enough job for it not to be noticed.
