No kidding— I was in awe watching a dude do things you’d never think you could do at a RallyX (SCCA) last winter in a rental Hyundai! He was *amazing*… crazy fast times too.

Oh good, I don’t feel so bad that my DD is FWD. It’s not all wasted experience. :D Though I forgot I was driving my FWD following our AWD to an SCCA RallyX the other week when (on an empty corner), he blasted right around it and I, well… it wasn’t pretty :P (though to be fair, the AWD is also on snow tires, and mine

I’m talking truly deserted with clear visibility— like long stretches of the highway between Abq and Colorado. Most of my entire drive of it had me and the BMW I could easily see about a mile ahead of me doing the same speed— with sparkling clear day conditions and nary an exit. It’s not even clear enough driving

Bummer… I was waiting for the small van to clip a pylon trying to get into his larger entrance after the rig made it easily into the smaller one.

Except for the 8“ or so in extra length… sigh… And I’d so miss my suspension…

I had some service done on my ‘07, and since the dealer is 2 hours away, they gave me a 2G loaner to take home since it was going to be a couple days… That was so depressing… My husband was all excited to test drive it as he likes my car as well, so he drove on the way to an errand, and then promptly handed the keys

No kidding. I adore my ‘07 TSX and fear if anything happens to it as there’s nothing like it out there… (well, not for under $50k…). Everything is so blobby and squishy (and beaky in the Acura case…). Bring back the fun!!

I grew up browsing the JC Whitney catalog as my dad worked on cars as a side business. Now I’m all depressed as he’s been dead for a long time… :( Though I’m also imagining the comments he’d be making about that car… :)

Kinda my thought too—- for all the “it’s already illegal” comments, I haven’t lived in a state that actually did any sort of emissions testing [near where I have lived] in quite some time. It’s amazing the crap that billows out of cars around here… If they don’t do a thing about them, they’re not going to go after the

A sports photographer friend refers to this as pointy-ball. He’s currently shooting bouncy-ball. The other sport currently in season is gropey-balls.

Yup. That’d be a much more explosive game, and more entertaining to consider watching. And I’d be much more supportive of the raceways than a stupid stadium…

This—- TOTALLY… Since I’ve started leaving them up, I can chip away at all of the ice on the windshield, and then have clean wipers to wipe the drizzle from the stuff I didn’t get off the top.

I grew up near a very large desert marine base— and thus grew up around quite regular sonic booms. They were generally high enough to not break windows, so nobody really thought much of it. It seems weird that one would cause such a commotion— but then, it’s apparently been outlawed for a while, so I guess if you’d

Screw Miata, the answer is now always Taco Truck!

Wow… Well, hopefully the shepperd was drunk enough to not have noticed, and how horrible for Baud to have had this happen with no alternative options (other than possibly killing himself and quite likely still kill the guy) and to have to live with this memory…

Ours is brilliant in the snow with our Blizzaks! Just that 3" clearance from the kit you gotta watch out for…

Yeah— I’m laughing entirely too much about that one :D

Ah… I so adore this piece… It popped up as a “related” article on Facebook, so of course, I had to read it again.

Yeah— but how far is the nearest bathroom from the destination? And is there a line?? (it does mention no “traffic” problems, but doesn’t specify queues)

Verizon’s style guide for that pathetic logo would never allow the check mark over there, but it’d still work hanging out the side in Jason’s MUCH MUCH better version.
