Is the motor in the front or back? Inquiring minds want to know.
The only reasons why I sometimes keep my cars unlocked is that
there’s nothing in them worth stealing and they themselves are shitboxes that nobody has any interest in. the locks don’t work.
If you are looking for a reliable winter car, then get anything Japanese (be wary of Mazda-rebranded Ford’s). You are on the right track with 4Runner and XTerra. Maybe add the Nissan Pathfinder, Isuzu Rodeo/Honda Passport, and Mitsubishi Montero (not Sport) to the search list.
I’ll disagree with you on that. Insurance is a cash-cow. Drive through any rundown town in middle America and there will be two pristine storefronts; the bank, and the insurance agent.
I’ll disagree that the stock Supra wasn’t that great. For it’s price it was competitive with the Vipers and Corvette ZR1's of the day, and outperformed its Japanese rivals like the RX-7, 300ZX, and 3000GT (j/k about that being a rival...).
I don’t think most of us dislike the cars. The initial quality issues are a bit annoying and seemed due to hubris more than anything, but thankfully they seem to be ironing out those kinks. I think most the ‘hate’ is from the constant stream of social media bullshit. It’s just as tiring as the constant stream of…
I’d like to say that the market will correct that valuation on its own, but I fear that investors believe tweets more than numbers nowadays.
by ‘different’ do you mean behaving like professionals and not tweeting a bunch of bullshit?
My Mom was a teacher. You should not have married a teacher...
It’s an FCA product, you should wait at least 5 years.
I agree, I hope this engine will trickle down to other trims in the future and be available at lower cost. Mazda has a habit of offering ‘upgrade’ engines in top trims initially and then making them more available later.
Gas engines are getting better, but I’ll disagree on the ‘same or more torque’ comment. Diesel still seems to be the torque king in a big way, just look at the super-duty pickups to see which engines can tow the most.
Ditto. My wife and I picked up a new ‘fixed’ Touareg TDI last summer which is our first ever diesel. It continues to impress.
I agree, go for it.
For a naturally aspirated car, 3600rpm is pretty low for peak torque... Sadly we live in the torque-rich world of turbo engines, so this seems to suck by comparison.
This is why this will fail:
Yes, just like Winter, a Recession Is Coming. Maybe next week, next year, or the next decade. It is coming though, our economy is cyclical and it will happen.
I don’t think that stating a self-driving car killed somebody is blowing it out of proportion. Somebody did, in fact, die.
