My Accord Story: After getting a post-high school summer job as a valet at golf club, I had to learn to drive stick. My aunt selflessly donated time in her 1992 manual Accord Wagon to the cause. After about a half hour tooling around I got it back into her garage I was taught what burning clutch smells like.

This. It’s tough to fit an Inline-6 in a FWD vehicle, limiting it’s application. V-models fit almost anywhere, and therefore can be used in more models.

and levels of torque quickly approaching zero... Don’t get me wrong, I love the days of high-revving high-output Honda engines, but they were not necessarily easy to drive as they had nothing, nothing, down low in the RPM range.

2nd Gen. Ford Probe GT / Mazda MX-6 V6. I taught myself how to use Microsoft Excel by making a spreadsheet of every specification of this car as I dug it out of various car mags.

Melting Pot is a chain of fondue restaurants.

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

A final note: When the iPhone came out, there was only one high-speed network that Apple deemed good enough for the phone to operate on.

agreed, heated grips are a game changer. Got my first bike with them (and a heated seat) this past summer

Boo to this sentiment, do you also relish Participation Awards? I prefer to know both the good and the bad about a potential purchase. Especially the bad. For most people their vehicle is the second, or single, most expensive thing they own. It’s smart to be informed.

McDonald’s is also my airport vice (double quarter pounder), and I was extremely saddened earlier this year when I discovered that Midway airport has gotten rid of McDonald’s (and many other places) in favor of more local fare. I’m especially bummed since McDonald’s is pretty much local... So I’m on the search for a

He found a keeper with Michelle. Not many people would be so understanding and supportive about a car.

Disagree, Ford’s 4-cylinder engines are based on designs licensed from the old Mazda MZR series that debuted in the U.S. in 2004. So not really this decade. Not sure how old the current crop of subie engines are though, so they may still be newer.

I take reusable 27oz water bottle on all my flights, as long as it is open and empty when going through security, no issues. Most airports have dispensers for refilling water bottles making it super easy.

-never mind, somebody beat me to the Doctor Who Emojibots

They haven’t changed the federal fuel tax since 1993 and there was no provision for inflation. So inaddition to the value of a dollar being worth about half as much today as in 1993, cars and trucks are significantly more efficient now resulting in way less revenue. That doesn’t even account for electric and plug-in

agreed. I traded in a 2001 MKIV GTI 1.8T (Green Rave) for my 2003.0 Mazdaspeed Protege (Spicy Orange), and never looked back.

I agree with the review above, except that this is correct, Spicy Orange was the proper color. Only about 550 Spicy Orange models were sold in the US, and about 50% of them were promptly wrecked. I put 78,000 miles on mine (purchased new) before I passed it on to the next owner. The engine can’t take much more

    Neutral:

As a the current owner of a 2008 Mazdaspeed 3, I can confirm this is true... no interest in an RX.

I agree that an old pickup or Wrangler are great to learn on. They aren’t easy to break, and learning to master them will make every other stick on the planet seem easy.
