My landlord just called today and asked when I was moving and if I could tell them ‘in the next few days’ how many months I’d be doing month to month on my lease for. A change that doesn’t start until May.

I feel bad for going to work, in a hospital, but I’m not medical staff, I’m back office philanthropy. I’m alone in our building though, and I did just process a large donation for the free bed fund, so I’m hoping that doesn’t make me one of the people not taking this seriously. 

“I am rich and I have access to healthcare so I’m not worried. Everyone else can go fuck themselves”.

I’m honestly not surprised these folks can’t seem to see past their own asses. This is the same reason they don’t get flu shots - “oh the flu isn’t that scary, I’m not at risk to die from it”

I live close to a “shopping district” in my city. Over the past decade, more and more of the storefront have been vacated and never rented again. Not unusual anymore to have one business on a block of empty storefront. This crisis is going to do even more damage.
