You’re trying to say you picked a game with these kind of theme so you should have to pvp...? Seriously? You can play World of Warcraft without ever attacking or being attacked by the other side...the theme of the game doesn’t have to dictate these things.

When a game can no longer be played when the server shut down, it should be required that they release the server software to the public.

I’m not opposed to some online games that handle it better than competitive multiplayer or online Survival games. Most MMOs have better restrictions on when/where PVP can occur, but I personally don’t have the time to devote to an MMO.

For now, the only fool-proof way to avoid griefing is to pay into Bethesda’s monthly Fallout 1st service for access to a private server.
