NOPE
Did the police shoot and kill him? Oh right! He’s not black.
And now all the weird Cute Girl posts and the fact that he was constantly surrounded by ingenue cartoonists from his cartoon blog back in the day make creepy serious sense now. The worst thing about being an adult is all those things you have a spooky inkling about turn out to be twice as terrible as you thought.
Goddamn, what a pervert.
This is literally like saying that law abiding citizens are too biased against criminals to be objective in a court room because of the fact that they are law abiding citizens.
Oh no! Because of his wife’s job he might have the implicit bias that rape is a bad thing! Maybe Harvey Weinstein or Brock Turner are available to preside, as a more impartial arbiter?
Y’know, it’s generally not a good idea to piss off your judge, and this really seemed unlikely to go their way. I can’t really imagine what their strategy is here.
I have long advocated for this to be the slant when we teach kids about sex. After we get through what continuous consent means, we tell them that if you don’t use contraception that means that you are actively trying to conceive.
Eschewing said coat in favor of say, a denim jacket that is not warm enough for whatever is happening outside your front door is an optimistic move that will only end in heartbreak.
This was the worst part in a horrible movie. I loathe this movie.
Don’t worry, that is just par for the course for this movie. They bulldozed all sorts of stuff and planted non-native species to get the right “look” for the beach before filming.
This aged well.
I was intrigued by your comment so I did a small search. It looks as though coral reefs provide protection during tsunamis, according to many articles posted. So likely creating and maintaining strong coral reefs can work in tandem with environmental protection for the people who live on their shores.
It’s not one or the other. Human damage to that reef predates both the tsunami and the movie. There’s been a project to grow and replace reef there since before my first visit, which was 2002. But the tsunami did do a lot of damage.
And even better, long sleeve uv protected rash guards.
“Look here, young man, you’re trying to anticipate what I’m going to say, and you haven’t the brains enough to do it.”
The constant barrage of roughly 200 boats and 4,000 visitors every single day has exhausted the local coral reefs.
Fun story!
