I’m a fan of musicals and find film adaptations to be very hit or miss - mostly miss, and this seems way on the miss side.

I must admit, I do have difficulty understanding the difference between not picking up an option and being fired. We see it a lot with coaches in college or pro-sports, but if it’s a team-option, that’s not firing - it was in the contract that it was thier choice to bring him/her back for another year or not.

it’s not hard to work around it with a <willing> body double either (Lena Headly GOT Shame Walk for example). The only question (I guess) is if Wilson had agreed to such scenes in order to get the role only to reneg later, but still seems like an easy thing to avoid and still get the scene you want.

The minimum wage is significant. I run payroll for a national retailer and we have a promise to always pay $1 above the prevailing minimum wage (whether that be a local/city wage, state or federal). We’re not small business, but we’re not Target or CVS either.
