what the fuck is a milkshake duck? (no I won’t look it up - if it was a word (words? phrase) of the year in 2017, I should have at least heard it uttered or read it one time).

one of my favorite things I saw this year.

as someone without encyclopedic knowledge of the source material, I’m often confused but still enjoy it. It well acted and well made, and I know just enough to put some of it together.

Presumably it was a stock photo from the restaurant’s website or advertisement?

we keep saying “fire” but that’s not really the case... they get a contract for one season and then aren’t asked back. That’s not really the same thing. As for why they weren’t asked back? Cowell undoubtedly has final say, and he’s a douche bag.

Being fired is different from not being renewed - is it not? Now everything she or the anonymous source says may very well be true, but she wasn’t fired for being difficult, no more than Julianne Hough was fired. They just weren’t asked to comeback.

My in-laws are in Mesa 8-9 months of the year, they always take the grandkids there when any of us visit. Pizza - meh - but it was a good time and truly a sight to behold.

Bummed out - I nearly always agreed with you in the food drafts. Best of luck Kate!

Right? I mean, order your apps and then don’t order your entree for 5-10 minutes, that should take care of it.

same for salespeople - if you take away commissions and put them on a flat salary, the best ones will leave because they know they can make more with a lower base but earning commission (or bonus, etc.).

this made me laugh more than can be explained rationally. thank you.

I have to assume the exec in question had no idea who Harriet Tubman was. He just knew Roberts was a star and probably proposed hiring her for every movie.

Yes - while there’s good pizza in the North End - there’s no particular Boston style. Everywhere is different.

I posted something similar... I think outside of Boston we have some pretty good bar pizza (Cape Cod Cafe, Linwood, Town Spa), but I don’t get naming the chain after Boston.

Frank Pepe’s white clam pizza (New Haven, CT) is hailed as one of the top pizza’s in America every year.

Papa Gino is just ok at best. They used to be better. Closed about half their locations last year.

this made me laugh as a (near) Boston guy. If I saw “Boston Pizza” anywhere, I’d keep driving.

never heard of Boston Pizza and I’m from Boston... we have some good pizza in the North End, but we’re not exactly NYC. Bar pizza in the south shore is the best we have to offer. The pizza pictured looks awful.

definitely not with this audience!

there’s a lot of that going around!
