well said - there’s obviously room for both, but I am with you on the sincere. If you haven’t already, add Mythic Quest to your watch list.

I thought it was going to play out like a 4 minute SNL sketch dragged out for 10 episodes, but it was legitimately good. Possibly my favorite show of last year. I also loved Apple + Mythic Quest, but that got no Emmy recognition.

they should have because season two was awful.

apparently Lovecraft is a comedy and a drama and Michael K Williams is an actor and actress (actor in the drama version and actress in the comedy). fascinating!

It doesn’t matter if he likes weed or not - seems odd to go into all this detail about his personal beliefs...

upon my first and only viewing, I took this to be Cliff’s version of the events - exaggerated or flat out imagined - and therefore nothing to get bent about in real life.

I did not know Jackie Chan was in Cannonball Run!

perhaps it has something to do with him being the real-life asshole from Molly’s Game?

  • Sylvie notes that she pulled a memory from “hundreds of years” before Hunter C-20 joined the TVA, so I guess the Time Keepers give their agents some kind of immortality?

I’m from SE MA, not Wustah, but I am very interested in how they pull off the accents...

totally with you - I can think of so many shows that would have been great for 1-3 seasons that ran waaaay too long. I get they need to make money, but if you have a defined start and end point, the product is far superior. (Manifest is the latest example, and now we’ll never know how it was supposed to end).

I liked S1, but assumed it would go off the rails in S2... that said, while I’d like to see it, I simply can’t justify paying for another streaming service (Netflix, Prime, Apple+ (got 1st year free, but that expires right before Ted Lasso comes out, so I’m keeping it) and Hulu (pirated from my sister)).

He actually seems to be getting better looking too. I hate him.

LMM has done more to promote minorities on stage and screen than anyone else in the last dozen years or so. Too fucking bad if there’s not enough of a particular minority featured in “In the Heights” - he shouldn’t have to apologize for shit.

my thoughts exactly - yes, he’s not as gifted a vocalist but he’s the reason 50% (or more) of the audience is attending, so they want to see him somewhere...

We have HBO Max but chose to pay to see it in the theater. Great adaptation.

about the only thing I did get right is that the kidnapped girls and Erin were completely unrelated. I was so sure Guy Pearce was involved in one or the other (the kidnapped girls most likely), with no other reason than “Guy Pearce is too big a name to have this meaningless role”.

Right? Is questioning slurred speech on a beloved (to some) actor who has had substance abuse issues in his past, really being “unkind”?

just don’t say anything - you can’t win no matter what, and what Mark Ruffalo thinks on this matter isn’t going to change anything regardless.
