The Dpad wasn't ever physical I don't believe. So I'm confused by your comment. I think they are going with a Dpad'ish setup for the left trackpad so that they can still use the left and right trackpad together to make some games that require a mouse much better. I won't be judging it until I get a chance to try

You mean that whole using them in place of a mouse thing sort of flew by you? :) That's kind of the point. You get to use them as trackballs basically and can suddenly play a game of Civ5 using a controller or have better aim in an FPS than with an analog stick (since it's 1:1 movement and will be configurable).

Hard to judge before you use it. Even the first design was thought to be pretty good in the Dpad area and this new version looks much better. And you don't get "3 analog" sticks. The pads can be analog, they can be digital and they can be other things in between depending on what the game designer or player wants.

How you get over that is you buy a WiiU with a WiiU pro controller, 360/XB1 and a PS3/PS4 and a Vita. Switch between the constantly. You will soon be VERY used to just about every button/analog position there is.

I thought that thing was one of the most awful controllers I'd ever held. Terrible shape for holding for more than a few minutes. It didn't feel that great in hand and the numpad just looked really dumb. Sure, it added buttons but as you said it's only really good in inventory situations and nothing else.

How long did you use it? I remember watching YT videos of people showing it off and most of them were awful with it and pretty awful at the games they were showing off. Then I ran across a guy who showed him playing Borderlands with the controller and he was amazing with it. He used it pretty much like a mouse and

Speak for yourself. Blanket generalizations aren't really something you should do.

Those touch pads perform other functions too. The left touch pad can be a DPAD or it can be using to double up on mouse movement with the right touch pad. Think of them more as trackballs or small mouse pads. And they can be configured to do anything. The best part about the controller is that each part of it can

I think it works well because it will allow people to transition over from analog control. It's like a compromise I think. Also, games could use the analog stick for basic movement while also using more precise mouse-like precision with the right touch pad. I'm very curious how well this works because it could

Well, here are a couple of things that might have helped you save money.

If translocators can't be turned off per server then I want nothing to do with this game. That was one of the dumbest things to ever put in the game because that's all people would use to move and it made more people prone to flight instead of fight.

So, uhh, keep your old console plugged in until you're done with it. Backwards compatibility is why the PS3 launched with a $650 price tag. It's also why other technical limitations were introduced to new systems (Wii and even WiiU) in both hardware and the software that runs/interconnects them. What you want isn't

Quite a few actually. Especially the big ones like this. But most likely the PC version isn't getting one because a lot of the physical items being included has to be figured out and ordered LONGGGGG in advance to fill demand and I'd wager they couldn't just add more to the mix for PC. That happens from time to

Wow, that was a really hateful and ignorant thing to say. Just because every article about PC mods has a comment about a "nude mod" (it's been a running joke for a long time) does not mean that "90%" of mods are that. Where did you even come up with that number? Have you never seen any of the rather amazingly huge

Being a long time member of Pals for Life and personally knowing all of those guys in the video (I wasn't) I find it pretty hilarious and kind of awesome that it's still going on. Some of the funniest things that we did never went viral though sadly.

So, looks like it was just a cut feature and what they said was a marketing ploy. This never had anything to do with performance.

Myself and a lot of people I know have their PC hooked up to their TV. It's awesome. You should try it.

Because they haven't announced HL3? Portal 2, Dota2, CSGO (Hidden Path created but Valve took over shortly after) and TF2 all have either created or constantly updated by Valve. I don't understand people like you who are incredibly blind and can't see anything other than HL3. Hell, even LFD3 has been all but

Aren't we just a shining example of an entitled asshole on the internet. You know those articles that are written about gamer entitlement and being a jerk? Those are about you.

Well, I mean they did make Dota2 recently and they had Hidden Path make CS:GO before taking it over ~9 months after release and have been developing it ever since. Also, TF2.
