If you're talking about their Japanese arm this appears true. But all of the SE games from the West are pretty much the poster children for amazing PC ports. Tomb Raider is quite possibly one of the best looking PC games ever created.

See, the reason why a ton of companies are jumping onboard with this is that it would reduce costs significantly for them while also giving potential benefits for customers that they can market.

Or if you are a review site cynic they will now know how much they should bribe each site for a positive review :) Kappa

I'm definitely getting tired of the "socially connected" games. Sure, companies are trying to make it easier to play with friends online but there are admittedly cynical reasons for this.

Hah, well it probably does or there is a workaround for it. Win7/8 run older games pretty well. At worst you might be forced to use XP compatibility mode but I doubt it. Hell, I just installed a game from CD that was released in early 2002 on my 8.1 machine and it fired up without any hiccups at all. I just had to

Controllers have been supported on the PC since pretty much the beginning of the PC. Have you been stuck in a time warp for 30+ years? You do have a point with the cost though but the good news is Disney will most likely be very quick to discount these for the Christmas sale with an even bigger discount for the

Windows 8 and Windows 7 has virtually no difference in regards to running older games and in some cases will run more. The OS kernel is nearly identical, compatibility modes are better in Win8 and the drivers are identical. Basically, if you have an issue in Win8 it will have the same issue with the same

Honestly I see Unreal 4 being used by a lot of companies. Even more than games in the past have used the Unreal engines. The main reason why is Epic is focusing a lot on efficiency not only in developing for your main platform but also in porting to other platforms very easily. If you make a game for one platform

It's Activision though. You can't expect them to claim they have a huge plan for lots of content without hacking it up into the smallest possible bits and squeezing every single drop out of an IP at the expense of the player. It's what they are known for.

I guess they did mention that what they have tried to do is new to them but it's hard for me to believe they didn't consult somebody who works in the MMO industry or that have done similar connected games in regards to the type of software/hardware needed to support a launch. Specifically using a cloud service to

I would not agree that the points are odd even if the way he manages to get them out there are. I read about a few of these things yesterday and I had to go through a ton of effort to figure out what was actually true and what was not and it was a giant mess. And the more I found the more it looked like a few media

It's still pretty annoying because of how small everything turns out when you view the video later on small devices. Hell, I've done it myself and face palmed after viewing the results on Youtube. It would be great if there was an, "are you sure you want to do this" if you try filming in portrait.

You're right. But what's sad about that is most of the time you don't even get new maps. You just get old maps done in the new game or re-works of old maps. They are charging $50 a pop for something a couple of mapmakers can do in a few weeks without anybody else required to be on the project. I guess more power

Actually, I have a similar story but it includes both systems. I bought an XB1 and a PS4 and my XB1 has been strictly an on again off again Killer Instinct machine with nothing else played. My PS4 has only been my Infamous Second Son machine and I played Strider on it but I might as well have gotten that for PC.

The WiiU version is supposed to be a port of the 3DS version with it being the main game. Japan loves their portables and they are strictly designing the game, characters and balance around the 3DS version with the WiiU version just being the same game with higher resolution. It's sort of sad that they aren't even

It used to be that with a new IP game devs/publishers would take a risk and the tie-in games would be pretty formulaic. It appears that the roles are reversed now and new IP's are just the same tired stuff that boardroom execs think we will flock to so they can fill coffers and the games that should be cash-ins are

Well, I did agree with you in part before. I just didn't like people being thrown into an all encompassing group :) You see all too much gross oversimplification on the internet these days. I also wanted to point out that the animosity came from a few different areas as well. Lets also not forget that they tried

I agree with you somewhat. I just don't believe that is the most vocal group. I think you believe it is but my experience proves otherwise but that too is anecdotal. We see what we want to :)

Yeah, and the angels are fake angels anyway. It's all a facade. And one of the first bosses in Bayonetta 2 is you fighting a demon.

Just because a few people will make impulse decisions doesn't mean that discussing the value of a game in dollar amounts is immature. Throwing everyone who wants to discuss the topic into one group of people because it makes it easier on your viewpoint is kind of immature :( You have a point but labeling all of us
