I’m clear on what concept cars are, but even concept cars need to, well, move.

1st- What happened to drive free or die? If people want SUVs let them have them.

Not really.  As is often repeated, the CUV/SUV market has become fairly efficient, and I suspect gas prices would have to go up enough to move the needle towards motorcycle more than it would smaller cars.

Which I agree with nearly completely. It’s just that there are some cases where the person may — for whatever reason — be relying on this income more than they should and in that regard I feel like there’s some legit reasoning to classify them as employees. Especially considering they don’t get to set their own prices

I’d take the $1500 bonus and fly coach. But my employer wants me to be a functional human when I land, so the expensive nap is worth it for them.

Uber can’t make you drive on any particular day.

I get the feeling they’re trying to equivocate pulling out of this deal with pulling out of the Iran deal which, no, this is nothing like that.

Uber offers them a choice of pickups. The driver can choose to accept the job or not. The driver can also turn off the app and not work at all. It is the very definition of contractor. California is trying to solve an intractable social and economic problem by redefining work. If Uber and Lyft are put out of business

First, you left out the part where parts of the law have already been blocked because they would have put 70,000 truck drivers who owned their own trucks out of work.

1st gear: I hope when the eventual film of this is made, they get Rowan Atkinson to play Ghosn.

Well don’t expect a Jalopnik investigation.

Odds are it COULD be, but the problem is with high speed runs, is there are very few places to do it. The fact that VW/Bugatti own their test track and refuse to let anyone else use it is the reason you have so few verified challengers to the top speed.  Thats one of the few places on earth you can do that type of

If Bugatti lets other people rent their test track. heck, maybe even the Agera RS could get close to 300mph on that track

Ur right. Porsche loved it when I got a quarter-million people to look at this:

I mean... It’s pretty clearly laid out on Ford’s site..
Here, I’ve highlighted the only options for a F250-450 where a Tesla can compete.

1st Gear: Tesla’s GVWR will actually likely be above 10,000 lb, figuring things like batteries and supposed 3mm thick stainless steel bodywork, making it a Class 3 truck. So to have equivalent class specs you’re looking at the F350/F450 trucks.

Everything marketing with Tesla is very Silicon Valley frat pack more than anything. Tow a random truck, rent juggling dwarfs for parties, all that stuff

It looks decent, but the drivetrain will be a snooze fest as is Acura’s typical approach.

Nah mate. Water freezing at the totally arbitrary 32 degrees makes zero logical sense.

Iit’s not more intuitive it’s just what your used to.
