How can this be?

So is pivoting to a market that only wants SUVs out of touch?  Or are they supposed to still only make Sedans because SUVs are bad?

I say this as a former NASCAR fan and as commentary of this article but...

As an Alabamian — don’t blame the locals. They already discovered years ago that it was a lot better to rent out their apartments or houses for $500/night and leave town for the weekend than to have to be around for this.

My 1989 Jeep Comanche could tow 5000, had a payload capacity of 2200 lbs, and had 4x4.

My XTerra can tow 5000 and I can get a 3/4 of a ton of pellets into it (helper bags required since it sags a bit.) It’s literally 2/3 the size of the GMT400.

Neutral: #3 for the cheap small pickup. I agree a Ranger derived truck would be fantastic but even the new Ranger is closing in on the size of my rusty GMT400. That’s too big for my purposes despite being extremely capable.

Mercedes doesn’t sell cars. They build them. Dealerships sell car.

Go to your room and think about what you just said.

I also heard it only flies to the left.

it’s the film camera equivalent of the drone you’d buy your kiddos.

I’m not sure what all of the hand wringing is about. International doesn’t even call itself “International” anymore let alone used the Scout name in the last 30 years. Are we all of a sudden mad at Toyota for using Land Cruiser when that was a Studebaker model?

It’s like they never do any diligence, even at a basic level.

This is the fly in ointment, isn’t it. Tesla are really good “at the easy bits”, but then seem catastrophically unable to handle the “middling tough bits” like when a fire truck is parked in the lane ahead or a truck turns across your path.

Er, no. Keep in mind that IN 2017 he was supposed to “build 500,000 vehicles”.

Guess who benefits directly from high oil prices and US issues with Iran?

“However, Musk only said that Tesla would sell the Model 3 at $35k, which they did.”

The rim size to car size ratio is getting out of control. We’re all going to be driving electric donks with 20 inch touch screens in 15 years.

I am assuming labor in a decent shop too. I can do that work myself for ~$10k in parts but just looking at the whole package.
