I think Ford will set the table for EV pricing when the electric F150 drops. The volume they already have will give them a lot of influence to establish standards including price

There isn’t enough market demand to necessitate a slew of dedicated EV platforms, especially for a smaller auto maker like Volvo. Larger car makers like Ford and VW can afford to do it but until EV sales breach the ~25% or so barrier of car sales there will likely be a lot of these flexible architecture platforms.
I agree, it will likely land in court. That said, the ADA is not the constitution and does not necessarily overrule this new law.

The "do work or perform tasks" part will cover that. Emotional support isn't enough any more. Needs to be like a seeing eye dog or an assistance dog for the disabled.
The only solution is for the manufacturer to set the price and for it to be illegal for dealers to deviate from it with massive fines or even prison for dealer principals if they violate the law.
