281K miles. Yes you read that right. Pulls hard and proper still, no smoke or oil consumption. Clutch feels really strong, will stall in 2nd gear. In the last 3 months, I’ve done plugs, coils, new all season tires, front brakes and a few other odds and ends. Purchased real Volvo parts, no crappy aftermarket stuff.

Good eye. Yes, yes it is. Also going up for sale soon.

Neutral: I’m pairing down my fleet. Save yourself some $$ and buy my 2004 S60 R manual for $2300. Located just outside the Coronavirus epicenter in Northwestern NJ.

Now playing

Where is Jeff Spicoli when you need him? NP.

Says the guy who has never owned any of them and whose knowledge of said cars is based on ignorant internet banter.

Cash for Clunkers never made sense. It was an incredibly wasteful expenditure of tax dollars promoting the destruction of perfectly serviceable cars. Sadly, many classic cars like W126 Benzes fell victim to this program. People who want to save the environment need to stop leasing / buying new cars every 3 - 5 years.

So no manual just a CVT unless you opt for the hybrid?

But then you’re driving a cookie cutter SUV that you see on every street corner.

Let’s see you could buy this for $12K and drive around in something that is considered a SUV icon with the offroad cred to match. Or you could spend $3K more on a 4 year old Nissan Rogue. NP all day.

Alt take:

It’s 32 years old with a half million miles. A minor fender bender most likely totaled this.

Ummmm.... I’m not trying to underplay the seriousness of Covid19 but estimating that over 100,000 people in the state of Ohio are infected is a pretty big leap:

All wheel steering.

If you buy this, you presumably have have a RHD HC Series Luce in the garage, because the regular US bound 929 was too prosaic, parked alongside a Eunos Cosmos (triple rotor?). I do not. CP.

This is like meeting a beautiful girl at a bar, doing shots together and then finding out she used to be a dude. 100% CP.

Neutral: drive something fun in your daily commute. I used my 1989 Peugeot 405 Mi16 this morning and it made today seem a lot less terrible.

Slap a Tesla badge on an Aztec and they wouldn’t be able to build enough of them.

This is the Rapide Aston Martin should have built. That’s hot!

So Toyota is going to make us wait 25 years?
