Neutral: Revive Oldsmobile and target the 70+ year old demographic that is endangering our roads. GM might also win back some defectors from Toyota and Subaru.

Why do you say that? The 3800V6 and the 4T60-E transmission are pretty much bullet proof. In the Northeast here there are still lots of 80s and 90s GM cars on the roads using some variation of this drivetrain. Also, parts are easy to find and are dirt cheap.
Nice, clean E12 with awful, oversized wheels and about $8K too high on the price. Throw the stock, turbine wheels back on it, the stock steering wheel (or at least an E28 three spoke, no car should ever have to wear a steering wheel that tacky), and put some proper cowhide on the seats and I might be in for $12K....
I deserved it.
Great idea, crappy venue. And I live in NJ.
He must have driven Passt it a hundred times.
Not by a long shot. Go drive a Mondial t Coupe and then go drive any other 80s 3x8. The ‘t’ got the 348 motor, adjustable dampers and was the first mid engine Ferrari to receive the longitudinal engine / transverse transmission layout (hence the ‘t’), which is still used today. It’s a delight to drive and an…
Are we looking at the same car?? The 400i is beautifully proportioned, especially in comparison to the goofy, high sided front ends of new Ferraris (thank you pedestrian crash tests).
Too bad you didn’t get to drive a Mondial. Maybe it would reshape your misinformed opinion.
I live in NJ and I won’t drive into Newark. Great idea, shame about the venue.
You actually sound surprised and a wee bit hurt that real Alfs owners are calling you on your BS. Truth hurts, huh?
Best set of gauges to ever grace a production car.
Honestly, the breaking down comments relating to anything Alfa are just getting tired. I’ve owned / own several Alfas, have taken numerous road trips and have only been on the side of the road to stop and take pictures. I also maintain my cars. What Alfa ownership experiences can you enlighten us with?
“This was Acura’s first foray into 4X4s, and the marque’s first model not to be based on a Honda.”
Love the driver, hate the series.
I’ll fess up and say that I’m a closet Allante fan. I find the angular Pininfarina lines to have a pleasing blend of subtlety and elegance without drawing too much attention to itself. The interior center stack and gauges look like they were cribbed from a concept car vision 2020 in the year 1986. Fantastic stuff. I…
Neutral: the sound and feel of an ICE is irreplaceable. Even as battery technology improves and infrastructure to support charging becomes more commonplace I will be driving ICE cars until the law prevents from doing so. Even then, I would probably go to extraordinary lengths to keep driving something powered by…
More of this please BMW, less X7.
The Saab looks like your older aunt in a Nun’s habit and the Alfa looks like a gracefully aging supermodel. Are we looking at the same car?
