I’ll have to check this out. I collect, so I try to get a physical copy of everything I can. Limited Run, Special Reserve, iam8bit, etc, have been awesome in releasing and preserving games on physical media. I’ve even re-bought certain games when a physical run was later offered. The idea of my digital purchases just

I stayed a little bit and after the initial judgment by the animals, I could see that everything would fall into place again. That stressed me out though! But mostly due to the fact that I just felt the need to redo everything since I made such a mess the first time (to 2020 me). Haha, so many emotions.

The Switch and Steam versions are already funded. This thing is all but guaranteed to come to the PS4 at this point. I admit that I was never a huge fan of the game on Wii U (got it for free through Club Nintendo), but I applaud them for doing whatever it took to bring the game to a wider audience.

I’m a big reduce/reuse/recycle kind of person, but as far as game cases - do people really throw these out? I’ve never done it. I’m surprised that this is at all a noticeable contributor to the garbage problem.
I keep 90% of my games (forever) tho, and the ones I don’t, I sell or give to friends.

on that point i often see people lament the closure of the institution system and the way it has led to mass homelessness, but its more complicated then that. institutions were often functionally prisons for mentally ill people. perhaps forgivable prisons (that hopefully were humanly run although we know there is a

Good I’m glad to hear that, I hope more places are starting to improve. I’ve known a number of people who desperately needed psych/rehab and there wasn’t anywhere for them to get it that wasn’t jail or $20k/month.

Very much so. I’ve been a lifelong Nintendo fan and this is one area where they seriously have catching up to do—as someone with autism who went to a college for students with learning disabilities, accessibility is hugely important to me and it’s amazing to see a major player like Microsoft leading the charge in that

They can't use the Similar Character excuse with Link and Toon Link already available.

Not necessarily a Sod Off given Mega Man is actually in the game.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFF

So, in Super Nintendo World, grabbing a Starman item doesn’t grant you invincibility but instead gives you super dance powers?

Harley Davidson?

I recently was gifted a Wii U — which I’ve incidentally been enjoying the shit out of — and I’ve named my Mii “Wii-Uboo”. Felt pretty good about that one every time I hit a Splatoon lobby. :D

Was WiiU not just Wii University? The hell did I get my degree from??

Wii U was an attempt to ride the wave of the Wii’s success and popularity. Much like the new Mustang Mach-E. Is it a Mustang? Nope. But people know the name so it’s capitalizing on the brand equity.

So yes Wii U was an abomination strictly from a naming convention perspective (what does “U” even mean or signify?), but

Wii U is made worse in that the console looked like a Wii and the tablet looked kind of like the UDraw accessory for the Wii.

The Vita did that to me(indy snobbery). There's some level of intimacy and comfortably that a handheld offers while playing indies that playing on console/tv can't match.

I just feel like when Project X Cloud integrates Game Pass, then I will have all the indie my heart desires available on my phone.
