Really glad Reggie addressed him immediately in the Direct. Nintendo has some great fans.

I’m sure optimizing them for console would limit selection down the road too. You can almost smell the fanboy flames when a mod will work appropriately on one console and not the other.

Actually its for reasons like this they stopped making more after the 2nd round of preorders. Don’t worry, Bethesda has stock waiting for your replacement as a result. That much I can just about promise you.

You didn’t miss out on much either. I got to play around with one early, and honestly the quality wasn’t as great as I thought it would be.

But us console jockeys will get mods... eventually...

This game needs Fulton extraction. Get on it PC folks.

I could only imagine. Usually the overall context of the Directs are pretty goofy, so it would be fun (IMO) to see them honor him while still keeping the silly tone.

They’ve already explored alternate dimensions between Ruby and Omega Ruby for instance (explaining why one has Mega Evolution and the other does not for example). I think time travel would be cool. Juxtapose a new character who goes between times and locations throughout the series.

Is it wrong for me to hope they use the Iwata muppet in some capacity? (In a classy way of course).

I still think its an overall Nintendo problem compared to just a SMM issue. Someone, somewhere, in that company absolutely loves 12-digit codes for everything.

I think the simple fact for me is that slopes from SMB3 onward really helped the overall flow of certain levels. Using their momentum buildup in creative ways could lead to some interesting level types (or even potential meta-games).

looping vertical scaling too ala Super Mario Bros 2.

Fingers-crossed for slopes (and butt-sliding) eventually.

Loving the little fixes Nintendo is making to this game. Apparently fan requests are having an impact.

Its sounding more like the mobile-console connection is more of an intended purpose, than something like the Vita/PS4 was a feature.

Don’t forget that Nintendo die-hards could also have more than one active account too. I had 2 running for club Nintendo since I’d get a lot of repeat registration codes working at Gamestop.

I still don’t get why people were underwhelmed. It’s not like they were going to bring out the big guns from the get-go. Seems like this is at least a good way to get a foot in the door, and their free-to-start games have been pretty dang solid on 3DS.
