... but there was cake.
... but there was cake.
I hear ya.
I'd rather have fewer quality releases on the 3DS eShop. There are some gems in there now, but man there's a lot of crap too. Plus Nintendo needs any reason they can make to move the WiiU sales.
To be fair, Nintendo never really left the retro scene. I think its a bit worse (better?) on the PS/XB platforms since devs, particularly indies, seem to try to capture that Nintendo charm. But yeah, I just hope retro-inspired doesn't wear itself out like 3D platformers did in the 90's. Of course, those seem to be…
I'm using the lingo from Half Baked in describing a fully as a rather full or large bosom. I just dated myself I realize.
Had a stripper come in and pay for her kid's handheld in singles (bra money, gross). She also had a fully sticking out, and I still can't figure out if she had intended or not (or if she cared). Probably didn't help I was staring. Definitely beats the hustlers and drug dealers who usually come in.
Sweet!
i shouldve explained it better. I meant like having a "Cloud" job that gives you access to abilities that fit his character, like omnislash, and makes you look like him. Or a Chrono job where you can do dual arts with other characters sharing the same job, and each character would adopt a look like each one of the…
Only looked into it briefly. Assuming theyre going to go that path? I just thought it would be a good idea for Bravely, since I can't fathom how many new jobs they can come up with.
OMG they have to put FF and other Squenix "jobs" into Bravely. I'd buy that for a dollar.
Real talk, I never actually completed it. Adding it to the retro backlog this year.
Oh you...
I was lucky to get the last new copy at a Gamestop a few years back for like $10 (on clearance I guess?). I think that it came out in '06, so with the success of the DS, it fell off of a lot of folks' radar. Its still relatively cheap to find I believe.
There we go!
They did make that decent music/platformer (forget its name off-hand) on the eShop, and the sorely underrated Drill Dozer at the tail end of the GBA era. Loved that game.
I just think it's typical NoA. Perhaps we're just in the rabid vocal minority, and Nintendo sees no profit in that. At one point, I was almost convinced we'd be getting a DS port based on what I thought were hints dropped by Reggie. How wrong I was.
Hell, I remember when game translators agreed to do the game for free. I imported and played with a translation guide. That game had some dense (emotional) content.
This times infinity. If they're going to charge the same price for physical and digital, why not get something you can caress? If you release a game at $29.99 digital and 39.99 physical, that would sway me digital for once.
Heck yes! Kirby's EY graphical style with Yoshi's Island gameplay AND co-op? Day 1 for this guy. Of course, Rainbow Curse is only $40...
Nintendo inflation at its finest. On the flipside, I may have made more money off of them over the years than I have spent (and no I don't scalp Amiibo).
