While standard pliers are helpful, the image shown is that of specifically Tongue And Groove pliers, commonly known as "Channel Locks." These can be very versatile in their adjustability.
Your link disagrees with you:
So Giz, you'll have one on display at the Gizmodo Gallery coming up?
I can't hear Herman Cain without thinking of Tyson, thanks to the recent [www.funnyordie.com] video.
But it won't hit Slashdot for at least another few days...
Or get VFR, IFR, Commercial, and CFI most likely for that amount. You're most of the way to ATP at that point, just a few hours and exams short. If it were made for flight schools, it would be listed as an approved training device, which I don't see noted there.
For the same price, I would pick up a Redbird FMX [www.redbirdflightsimulations.com] . 200degree field of view wraparound LCDs, interchangeable panels to simulate different types of aircraft, and FAA approved as an AATD so you can log hours with it.
So that's why Google deprecated the "+" modifier when searching (used to be used to require the term be in the results).
That's the CineStar ( [www.quadrocopter.us] ) as operated by Tabb Firchau of Freefly Cinema.
Could be. Plays fine here though.
Seanmcr6, the good news here is that the real winner is the buyer...with a price and features race more furious than before. And I'm fairly confident of a competitive (~$15k) street price. The C300 should go into pretty high volume production and be available in the spring...whereas RED has never met a deadline it's…
REDs do not have a global shutter, but rather have a rolling shutter with a quick read-reset time.
Sure looks like a toy/airsoft MP5. Also, Getty is credited with the image. Haven't found a proper caption for it though.
Jacob, have you taken the time to see what you get for your 9,750 fuckin dollars? A bare body with no battery, no battery module, no LCD, no EVF, no proprietary SSD memory or required reader, or battery charger. Let me add the cost of those up for you: $17,215. That's the cost of the Scarlet EF Mount Package and a…
Same reason many commercial photographers work with high resolution medium format digital backs. More pixels to start with gives more flexibility during the post process, regardless of the output medium.
Additionally, this isn't targeted at consumers. "Canon is definitely targeting the professional production set with the concept camera. "
This camera can fit into existing workflows much better than any RED can, and the price is pretty much equal to that of a new Scarlet, in a usable configuration. The highlight handling of this camera is better than most Sony offerings and on par with the EPIC, with only slightly less dynamic range (about 1.5 stops…
Nope, but 1080p takes a lot of horsepower to play back. There's also a 720P version available here:
I don't doubt it. But Canon's dynamic range is closer to 12 stops and RED's native DR is more like 13.5 stops before you get into the HDR. The difference is not as great as you make it seem. Also, the way the new Canon Log handles knee rolloff is smoother than that of REDCODE.
