MS has been doing an excellent job this past year making it harder to decisively choose between them. After 13 months, they still have what many (myself included) consider to be the better library.

I usually recommend getting a cheap tower PC (like a gateway) for like $300, then get the best under-$150 GPU, and maybe a $30 RAM boost. Then you're not building everything, nor dealing with Windows licenses/software.

One of the things XB1 was quite smart about was an outstanding scaler - so even when they "only" do 900P - the scaler outputs it with a sharpening algorithm that includes s hint of edge correction, and other fancy bits, to make is look crisp.
