$10k for the Alfa is nuts. That car would get at least $15k on BaT, most likely. It also has Euro bumpers, which all of the Stateside Alfisti drool over. And if they’d done a 3.0 swap, they would have noted it. Alfa never sold a 3.0 GTV6 in the US, unless the bumpers denote more than just a cosmetic upgrade, and it’s

I mean, people would have a point about its age if it wasn’t still one of the highest performing cars you can actually buy to drive on public roads.

Maybe it’s faulty or selective memory, but it seems whenever the situation is reversed, and Hamilton is behind Verstappen, they manage to not crash.

That was sort of a proxy Flaming Lips record, but is actually really good. It was sort of the iPod soundtrack for my first day walking around in England after I started grad school, so I now associate it with extraordinarily detailed memories of wandering a new city on a perfect summer day. Thanks for warming up the

It’s a perfect opportunity to launch a new series, seeing as how it’s already almost mythological among fans, build it up, and start actually integrating it all into canon.

They psychology of this is really interesting.

Is the crossover officially the ultimate form of personal transportation? I suppose it makes sense - it’s literally a mutated form of everything that’s come before. It’s sedan, hatchback, and SUV melded into a universal form. I expect within a decade sedans will be all but dead, and everything from Corollas to Camrys

Parked right next to one the other day... and I thought it was a Dodge Avenger.

Garland is not the person most people think he is. He’s actually a right leaning Bush-era moderate who Obama thought would be a shoo in for SCOTUS. I don’t think he has any interest in social reform whatsoever.

There are two reasons you get into politics

Pontiac Aztec.

I know this intersection well. We pass through it every time we go visit family in Victoria. That rail junction is maybe 200 feet after turning through a signaled intersection. I see most trucks doing a lazy turn the full width of the road, forcing cars to scramble out of the way. More often though, the big loads will

I dunno. My mother in law is about to pay more than a quarter million for a new Jayco Seneca Class B motor home (that’s still AFTER selling their 20-year old Jayco for $90k), and to be honest, aside from the lack of black tank and shower, this comparatively looks like an insanely good build and deal IF you could do

I dunno. I was 16 in 1991-1992 and I loved Pixies, Dino. Jr, Sabbath, Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Fugazi, Soundgarden, Metallica, Anthrax. Still do. Maybe the year you’re 16 is important here. Huh.

A dietician I work with believes the reason is sugar = quick energy. American breakfast is super sugary. Lots of simple sugars and carbs. It’s hits you fast and gives you a quick jolt of energy to get you moving.

So the thing is, knowing many people with electric cars ranging from Teslas S dual motors to 5-year old Nissan Leafs, the official range is typically representative of ideal conditions - conservative driving, no AC, moderate traffic. In the real world I don’t know anyone who claims to get anywhere near that mileage.

Ha. When I was in grad school in England, 2003-04, a friend of mine sent me a giant care package of snacks and candy. All of my flatmates thought it was all disgusting, except for the Reese’s.

Honestly surprised the cop didn’t shoot them for assaulting a police officer.

I know everyone LOVES Mazda for their approach and (previous) focus on driving dynamics, but honestly I think they’re buzzy, uncomfortable (some of the worst seats I’ve ever perched on), and cheaply appointed. A Camry V6 or Accord Touring are SO much nicer than the Mazda6 Grant Touring in almost every respect.
