All imports.

My old driving instructor drilled it into my brain that you should never be going more than 20MPH faster than slowing or stopped traffic in an adjacent lane for precisely this reason.

Pretty in-line with used EV prices in general. Bottom line, people shopping for used cars don’t have confidence in used EVs. https://business.yougov.com/content/47834-us-understanding-consumer-opinion-about-used-electric-cars

Hopefully this means Ford’s EV plans will factor in this competition and address it.

I live in Austin and see haulers loaded with the things going north on I35 all day, every day.

Bottom line, until there is an EV that is as fun to drive, practical, and inexpensive to buy as my beloved VW GTI, I don’t want one. To be fair, the number of ICE cars I’d consider buying is also extremely small.

Oh man. I got owned. What am I gonna do now?

Remember when planking was the trend? That was fun. Can we go back to that?

Kid (4 at the time) had to pee really badly so I whipped into a gas station of I30 in Alexander, Arkansas (just southwest of Little Rock). My wife unbuckled the kid and dashed inside just as a cop pulled up behind me with his lights on. Apparently I’d parked in “not a parking spot.” It wasn’t a fire lane or

I’d argue The Acolyte had the MOST story potential of any of the series. It’s a relatively unexplored period of time, it’s hugely consequential to the Big Story without involving any of the characters, and it had the opportunity to really dig into the malaise of the Jedi that allowed the Sith to return to power. There was a flaming fire in space in this show. I realize Star Wars was never science fiction, but... a flaming fire in space.

The docuseries on Industrial Light & Magic was one of the best I’ve ver seen. Compelling, funny, entertaining, informative, and contains SO MANY essential creative voices from the latter half of the 20th century. How has no one seen it???

Both of my kids ADORE their iPod Touches. They’re still g0-everywhere devices, even though my oldest has an iPhone.

Kids who were there know Showbiz was the far superior experience.

I’m just gonna leave this right here.

A iOS Pro would push it over the edge. Using the standard OS severely limits the iPad’s usefulness as a laptop replacement, and it mostly comes down to file management and file access. Until then I’m using my Macbook, even if it’s overkill.

China is going to kill Tesla. The Chinese government bankrolled Tesla so they could build factories, but then reverse engineered their products and processes to build up BYD, and are now selling entry-level BYDs for 1/3 the price of a Model 3, and being China, their citizens are being heavily incentivized to choose

Yet their per-vehicle profit margin is actually decreasing.

People truly have no sense of the relative speed of an airliner when it comes to even stationary objects.

Fird killed cars because the profit margins for trucks and track-based vehicles was literally multiple times greater. That decision had little to nothing to do with EVs. A Ford Fusion generated about $2,000 of profit while an F150 generated more than $10,000. That was the math.
