Air travel in Canada gets pricey once you start crossing zones. From Winnipeg it’s cheaper to get to Europe than it is Halifax.

If a shop is billing the customer at “book” prices, that’s likely either a consideration, or a direct reflection of how the tech is being paid for doing the work. Unless it’s one of the few shops that actually just pay their guys a good wage.

Gross weight restrictions are different that restrictions you would see on something like a bridge. Load restrictions have nothing to do with the vehicle’s gross weight and everything to do with how much tire is on the ground.
Class one (semi) drivers are expensive. If you only have to hire drivers with a class 3 (like a regular dump truck) you save money. Theoretically.
