Oh sweet baby Jesus. If they can get into an S2000 then they shouldn’t even consider anything else.

Write off the idea for this year and aim for 2020.

My local, barely professional, baseball team plays in a league nobody can identify, yet regularly averages 7000 people a game (annually). It’s because it’s cheap. The food and drinks are a bit on the high side, but not as much as going to an NHL game.

Unless things are different in the US, private sports team’s arenas, ballparks, stadiums and anything else are NOT public property.

I agree. Mostly.

Ride sharing” is going to pivot into a new iteration of taxis and the cost will probably end up being about the same.

In the owners manual, there should be reset instructions.

For sure it isn’t feasible. As a once a week gig the abuse on your car would be minimal. But few realize how much doing it every day beats the crap out of your car. And your wallet.

That seems to be the consensus around here.

It’s probably still roughly the same size as a Pilot. And those are not small.

Ride sharing became legal here a bit over a year ago. Uber and Lyft have so far chosen not to enter the market and the few other brands that have cost as much as regular taxis.

Just over a year ago “ride sharing” became legal in my province. The rules are such that Uber hasn’t gotten involved and I have no idea what Lyft thinks. But they don’t operate here either.

They own as much as most other modern tech startups. Their value is purely speculation and nothing more.

I agree. Thousands upon thousands of dollars “recently spent” means that a) the owner doesn’t completely understand that cars cost per mile and b) the current owner also likes to leave things until they are so far gone that they are all done within a short time frame.

On a road trip, being comfortable and having room is “fun”.

Minivan. Good balance of fuel economy, room and comfort.

Don’t even give them the chance. Considering the various ‘code(s) of conduct’ I’ve had to agree to that used encyclopedia binding, I’m surprised something like hanging a “whites only” sign isn’t an offense worthy of immediate dismissal.

I believe it’s called kindergarten.

For north of $60k, you could buy a nice convertible, 4x4 and minivan.
