Even the entry point to do your own work on a car like that is high.

No shit. That Ranger still had cab corners.
We all know it’s way too nice for David.
These cars are usually owned by someone that does something like sales and part of their job is driving. The miles are put on doing work, not cruising around.
I’m definitely going to hell for my reaction to that too.
And it looks like this one still has fenders and rockers. And it’s presumably in Canadian dollars. No way.
I guess they would probably get the car. But how much is any 4 cylinder Grand Am really worth?
God I hope my 90s mix tape would manifest itself as something cooler than a sex spec Cavalier.
I’l save you even more money. Your local car shows are all the same, you really only have to go see 1 a year.
If your show car is a 4 cylinder Grand Am, the kids weren’t getting an inheritance anyway.
I’m going to pile on and add that Germany also has aggressive inspections to the point where you can’t just put any random rims on your car. They have to be certified for (legal) use.
Manitoba Canada. Personally I think the immediate suspension is a bit draconian considering the broad wording of the law itself. I’m awaiting someone to take it to task over the legality of the suspension and not having the ability to legally defend yourself.
I face a ~$500 fine, 5 demerits and an immediate (24 hours later) 3 day suspension for even touching a cellphone while driving.
It depends on the context. Around here when it snows it’s fairly common for highways to become a single path of traffic because of snow accumulation. In those instances the most dangerous thing is people speeding through the snow accumulation blinding everyone they pass.
I’m not sure how (mandated) DRLs aren’t a thing in the US. Furthermore, I’m not sure why modern cars don’t just turn ALL of the appropriate exterior lights on once they’re in drive.
They do that because holding the phone 6 inches from their head gets around various cellphone laws. /s
I would add that something like interior parts, while you might have a hard time finding new one, if it’s a common enough vehicle and the current interior is trashed, you can always look for less used interiors anywhere. Maybe even buying a car for ‘parts’, taking what you need and scrapping the rest.
Am I the only one that notice the front corner of the bumper was bent in?
I can only imagine the gallons of resin the body would soak up.
I actually liked Ed, until he did the bit about his book and I realized he believed in sky wizards.
