Here we don’t have “criminal” speeding, but going 50 km/h over the speed limit nets you an automatic 3 day license suspension.

That’s what GM does best. Ruin things that are good.
That generation of CRV is considerably smaller.
Maybe in the late 90s it had decent amounts of power, but by the time it went into production things were getting crazy.
Like pretty much every GM in existence.
Sales don’t mean the vehicle was desirable. GM cars usually come in low on price. Which means they end up in the hands of fleets and people who don’t know any better.
It’s not even like their half baked approach to good ideas is a new problem either. It goes back at least 30 years. Maybe more, I’m not personally sure.
I’m out.
You don’t need a CDL, or even an air brake endorsement to drive trucks like the one in today’s video.
Maybe for you. I drive a truck like that at work that’s a full 13' 6" tall. These videos are nightmare fuel.
You don’t need a CDL, or even an air brake endorsement to drive trucks like the one in today’s video. So they have as much ‘training’ as anyone else on the road.

For the adventurous we also have PR 280 in the north. If the road doesn’t get you, the mosquitoes probably will.
Say what you want about how boring the prairies are, but holy crap Northern Ontario is brutally boring.
I would like to do it at one point too.
It’s a GM product. They probably cancel out the pre-existing NVH issues.
Having 2 sets might cost you more for the initial purchases, but you’ll come out ahead in the long run. The 2 sets also don’t have to be purchased at the same time. Buy the winters now and you have until March or April to track down a decent set of used rims and put some half decent all season tires on.
