Now playing

A little over a decade ago, I needed a new car and went and bought a brand new Suzuki Aerio. A few months in I stopped to get gas at one of the few full serve stations around for some odd reason and the attendant literally used my car as a leaning post while it was filling up. I gave him shit and he was somewhat

Anything multiplied by zero, is still zero.

How did you make a “mistake” while he made a “choice” and why the hell are you even trying to rationalize staying with someone you can’t trust and obviously barely care about?

They make tires that allegedly fill the gap between all season and winter tires. Considering the odds of seeing -40 on a regular basis, those would probably cover most situations they’re likely to encounter.

Around here, where there is no import ban, about 5-10 years ago it was all the rage to have a JDM car. Now you don’t see nearly as many on a regualr basis. I don’t think they left the country again, I just don’t think the owners drive them nearly as much.

I’m a filthy peasant, so I’m hoping a combination of having the means and the vehicle being far beyond value to pass inspection align and I can buy a 2004 XL7 to replace my SRT4 in winter, It just fucking hates the cold temperatures.

The Ridgeline is going to feel a country mile larger than an Element.

Proper tires are a better investment than simply buying a CUV. By the time most cars run out of ground clearance, you shouldn’t be on the road in most cases.

Gray Honda Civics, of any generation but mostly the 7th (worst) generation.

That was a very generalized statement, only intended to compare owning a disposable car with one that definitely isn’t.

Hockey helmets even (at least used to) have a sticker on them saying not to put stickers on your helmet because the adhesive blah, blah, blah.

Do it the cost effective way. Use 4-0 (4 zeroes) steel wool on the windshield until it glides across, then apply your favourite carnuba wax to the windshield and buff off as you would on a painted surface.

Even though Honda’s are the Swiss built time pieces they used to be, they’re still built better than most other similar cars. Aside from a few negligible faults* that are usually quickly isolated and a fix is created, they don’t tend to have systematic failures again and again.

The only real problem here is that his speech didn’t conform to someone else’s standards.

Serious question, when was the highway around it, as shown in another post, built and how much has the population of the area increased since then?

That’s actually an interesting hypothesis. Instead of a Corvette, it’s something more along the lines of a Ford GT. Lower numbers and a much higher price tag.

“Landing checklist”

Basically, when the tires on a dually are touching, they can’t regulate temperature and the load capacity goes way down. If you ever look at truck tire load capacities, they will have one for single axle and a lower one for a dual axle.

At least around here you wouldn’t have to worry about parking it on the street because you can’t (duallies). So it’s got that going for it.

If the highway patrol/DOT/MOT/whatever ever saw him on the road, he’d get fiend for the sidewalls touching.
