Chevrolet still sells a couple. I think.

95% of car owners view them simply as appliances and/or accessories, readers here represent the other 5%. Of that 5% another 95% can’t seem to wrap their head around most people only viewing cars as an accessory/appliance.
Eczema is a medical condition and the worst cases aren’t even solved by prescription steroid cream. Often minor symptoms are more allergic reactions than medical issues. Either way, it’s not a moisture issue.
But people actually wanted those, so GM had to scrap the production.
I think it’s always a Toyota everywhere.
It’s actually funny, disclaimer: I’m Canadian, we actually pay a similar tax rate, within a few percent for most people.
Even for a regular vehicle (see also: commuter, slow, boring, soccer mom, etc) 2 lesser sets of tires, winter and summer, are way better than a single dedicated set for all 4 seasons. Where there are actually 4 seasons.
I’d have to imagine that insurance companies aren’t too eager to pay out for medical bills when someone scrambles their brain in an accident not wearing their helmet.
The real money is made during rebuilding with no bid contracts and price gouging people desperate to return to their homes.
Where do you think the largest private charities helping people get a majority of their funding to help people? I’ll even give you a hint, it’s the same body that pays for a majority of the uninsured’s health care.
Of all the aids for lazy, shitty drivers they put in new cars, I think adaptive cruise control is among the only useful ones. If not the only useful one.
That’s because they are. When you pop the hood on an Uplander, you can still see the downward sloping structure that remained from the Venture.
Refer to my other comment somewhere in here about accountants ruining everything good GM ever tried to do.
The engineers come up with good ideas and higher ups let them run with it. Then one day the accountants get a hold of every project and cut it down so it either doesn’t work, or barely works.
Even in 89 GM had the 2.3 Quad 4 that made around 190HP. Had it seen another model year, that would have been a perfect fit.
That’ll be $50 and time served.
Flat rate isn’t a cancer in the industry, it is THEE cancer. It’s the gangrenous limb being pulled around by someone approaching death, while wondering why their leg smells.
Honestly the loss of benefits reflects more on the union than the dealerships. But all you have to read is the comment the one dealership eventually made that “they don’t consider themselves a unionized shop”. Depending on the jurisdiction there’s a whole lot of laws that may need to be considered. The specific dealer…
I wish the local 701 luck, because they’re going to need it. As far as trades go the automotive trades are a joke, in pay, future and attitudes towards the technicians themselves from everyone in and outside of the business.
Because it’s a platform shared with other VAG makes, the other makes don’t get the flat 6 so it would need a specifically designed driveline. That would drive up the cost.
