It would depend on the actual content of any agreement included. It could have been little more than a place in line, it also could have contained wording that allows the dealer to back out of the agreement if they choose. Deposits are often a tool used by shitty dealerships to separate people from their money.

I worked for a decently large dealer group, half their online ads were either never inventoried as used cars, or had long since been sold.

At one point in time tires weren’t $400 a piece. You could throw an old pair of tires on your car or truck and just melt them off because they were garbage anyway.

And the 80s and the 90s until the Viper showed up with it’s unimaginable 400HP. Until then very few cars were rated over 300HP.

Mall owners in My city LOVE speed bumps. I’m pretty sure I actually put a hairline crack in my oilpan a few years ago trying to only pass one side of my car over one. And my car isn’t even low, or altered from stock height. Anything more than dead slow and it feels like your car is trying to tear itself apart.

I turned wrenches professionally...

My city is supposed to enforce it on your property if the car is uninsured for more than a month. I don’t think they care until someone complains about it, then it’s a bylaw issue, not parking. There was also talk of parking officers having the legal right to enter one’s property if it appeared there were too many

Corn is so incredibly heavily subsidized it’s ridiculous.

Compared to their contemporaries, they handled like they were on rails. You also don’t see anyone saving or rebuilding old Cavaliers do you?

But is a Fit fun to drive? One thing about old Hondas in general was the double wishbone suspension made them drive miles better than comparable models with simple strut based suspension designs.

I had a car with the GM 3.1, off the line it was a beast for the day. Anything more and it was done.

I don’t know about the design being necessarily bland. I would argue that it was the last Honda designed by the engineers. The next year they released the 7th gen Civic with MacPherson struts, because the accountants got to make the decision.

I would like to know more.

Sometimes, people are unfairly targeted.

Honda’s been doing it for several years. I’m not sure when it started, but around that time sounds right.

Manufacturers really don’t car about what happens to a car after about 5 years, when most of their extended warranty programs have lapsed. Anyone with a warranty longer than that is likely to take good care of their car. Nothing is designed to be rebuilt anymore. Not to say they can’t but if there’s any actually

The mistakes would be bigger on pavement than gravel because the limit is higher.

I can’t agree enough. A split second of clarity to not look at the tandem tandem cement truck I was trying to avoid skidding into saved my ass one fateful stormy day.

If kids were playing in the area, like in the school zone he breezed through?

The cop failed to clear the intersection before proceeding and the civilian failed to yield. Even with music playing fairly loud, I can hear sirens long before I see them.
