Depends on what you’re going for. More cylinders = more frictional losses, so if you want an efficient hybrid you’ll go for a 3 or 4 cylinder over an 8 of the same displacement.
The place with the cheapest E85 around me also has the slowest pumps, only a couple of gallons per minute. Putting 32 gallons in takes quite a while.
