Forbes reports that last week the Department of Energy announced that it would be purchasing 3 million barrels of oil to replenish the federal Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

The rear-facing carseat would most likely be on the outside. You are not going to crossload a infant carrier/convertible kid over another kid. Same would be true for an SUV.

You think a regular seatbelt can hold a 250 grownup in place but not a 15 pound infant?

This may have changed over the last 6ish years, but the latch system is not safer than lap belts, it’s just easier.

The 2018 Accord has LATCH anchors for all 3 rear seats.

Note the LATCH positions. If the rear-facing seat is correctly positioned in the middle, its LATCH straps are crossing on top of the outer seats’ buckle receivers.
There is no magic bullet skinny booster seat that solves this problem, full stop. If he compromised on safety and buckled the rear-facing seat in with the
