Secondhand lions” is perfect for all ages.

OK, another option is that you have notes synchronized via Google or something. You need to store your notes in iCloud, not in some third-party cloud.

Are you sure it’s the last iOS version? It could be just the last iOS version available for your phone; but if your phone is too old, chances are, it’s not the last version in existence.

I’d say that, while overall there was no harm, this particular passenger might have had a legitimate reason to be unhappy, under certain circumstances.

Nice job making a beautiful place look like crap.

By your logic, you should shut up and keep your opinion about me to yourself. I, however, would continue to speak up whenever I see something wrong happening and am in a mood to waste some time. And no, I’m not criticizing the word choice, I’m criticizing the meaning.

One Russian talk show was seriously discussing the idea that the whole story with Skripals’ poisoning was invented by the Buckingham palace to stop Meghan from running for US President.

BTW, there was one period when I used more than one monitor: while working in gamedev. One monitor was connected to PC, one to Xbox, and one to PS3. I didn’t like it, but there was no other way (at least, I didn’t find it).

Oh, yeah. Nice to know I’m not alone in my hatred of multiple-monitor setup.

I agree. Laptops nowadays are just better. Maybe it’s just me (I was ALWAYS using just one maximized window, with everything else Alt+Tab away, even before I’ve got my hands on a laptop), but the only thing I think desktops do better is videoconferencing — simply because it’s a bit weird when a webcam shows you ceiling

Um... I was not aware of that effect of emojis, I might rethink my hatred of them now.

If it was significant in the prosecution case somehow that the victim was sober and conscious, then yes, it should be a retrial. Or if the law prescribes different punishments depending on the victim’s drunkenness. It’s a retrial, not an acquittal.

Well, guy finding his conscience and trying to eliminate the evil he himself helped creating doesn’t sound too bad, and requesting that he steps down because of that is a dickish move. But then he clearly crossed the line with lying and firing those people.

Where do you get this screenshot from?

Exactly. And “content creator”? So, not a writer, not a journalist... seems like a euphemism for “bullshitter”.

Not necessarily. Russia is, basically, a (very) big bully. And, if I understand correctly, bullies tend to become much less violent if the intended victim manages to fight back.

Actually, it was easier. The hired shooter decided not to do the job and went straight to the cops. Of course, he totally cooperated afterwards.

Only half of the money was given to the assassin prior to murder. He didn’t finish the job, but the guy who hired him didn’t know it at the time. In fact, it was the assassin who alerted the cops.
