My son is in the navy over there, he’s due out in just over a month. I don’t want anybody’s kid to get hurt but right now all I can seem to care about is for things to stay stable until he gets home.

That actually is my preferred way to go - hopefully a big immediate everyone killer like the planet colliding with Earth in Melancholia. Even better if it hits my side of the world so I can watch it coming. 

I was in Italy a few weeks ago (brag!) and I saw SO MANY men kiss each other on the cheeks as a “hello”. I loved it, it just seemed so real and affectionate.

I only just finally started watching Pose last night and I was disappointed with of the acting, and some of the writing seems a little clunky or hokey, but I’m still in it to the end for Billy Porter. Hoping the show smoothes out, I have been dying to watch it since I first heard about it.

His band Dogstar played at my favorite bar years and years ago, and at one point he walked by me close enough to touch (I didn’t) and boy was that exciting (not sarcastic). 

You know what I think we should see more of in movies (well... inasmuch as anyone needs to see more rapes in movies) is the much more common date rape, the pressuring, the “insinuation”, the low key intimidation. There seems to be a large percentage of people who think that if it wasn’t a stranger in an alley at…

Amen to the soundtrack - I found a great compilation of it all on Spotify and it’s been one of my most listened to playlists since then.  

I’ve seen it more times than I can count, and it wasn’t until this review that it occurred to me that Diane was the main character.  

Could you even imagine if this was our follow up to Trump? The US could never show its face in public again.

Samesies, I thought he was really well suited to this role and nailed it.

I love this - “grey time” is exactly what it is. I think before the internet and when I had no cable, I always only did things I actually WANTED to do with my free time. Thanks for the reminder of how much better that is.

It’s energizing for people that feel the same as he does, it made me smile when I was mostly feeling tired and pessimistic.

The account holder may have added Hulu Live TV... I did that a few weeks ago and then all of the sudden my son couldn’t watch (from a different state). They said it’s because the live tv makes it cable or something? Anyway the live service sucked so I cancelled it and then he was able to watch again.

I remember reading a review on this site that called Hereditary emotionally devastating (or something close to those words), and wondering “how scary does a movie have to be to be ‘emotionally devastating’????”. Then I saw it.

Elizabeth, Hillary, Joe, and even Bernie all need to get out of the way for 2020.  I like them all but they need to step aside.
