Women can kick and scream and fight for men's behalf as well as our own all we want, but you can't help people who refuses to help themselves.

Its not two sets of problems though. Women's problems are embedded in mens problems. Patriarchy is a system of men AND women, not one or the other. If you want men to stop abusing women, you can't just focus on the women.

It is i no way a cop out for abusive behavior. Recognizing that abuse begets abuse is recognizing where abuse comes from, and identifying how to stop it.
