From the old Thriller series, an adaptation of Bloch's classic story:

I remember a fun book on B5 talking about it with the observation "Why are Americans so much more fascinated with Jack the Ripper than the British are?"

Say what you will, I was honestly rocked to discover Jekyll was the "bad half" the whole time, a nice twist there.

We've gotten so used to Hopkins in hammy "give me my paycheck" roles over the years, quite easy to forget how incredibly talented he is when he tries and damn, he just was fantastic her. Amazing work showing his fight for duty over his own feelings and in a rough changing time, really one of his best ever.

Well, he admitted he hates to believe in her conspiracy theory because the idea that wiping out the entire freaking federal government being the first step in a plan is terrifying. Plus, get the idea he was a lifelong "just do the job, not make waves" type and now has to be in charge.

Still calling it: The lone survivor guy is part of the attack the whole point to "tear down the government and make it the way WE want" and he uses his status of "hero" to challenge for the Presidency.

Read an old story that one of the original ending ideas was that the final shot of the movie was going to trail down to show that under Dorothy's bed were the ruby slippers, showing "not a dream" after all.
Also, heard a stage production of it has the final bit the wind blowing open to show the audience the slippers in

I hear Supergirl is shifting a bit to now working for the CW audience rather than broad appeal of CBS ones which works out.

Go to so much Hell it's not funny.

Thanks for the insight. I actually heard of a couple of "Truthers" coming to a town meeting and demanding proof and somehow, the townspeople didn't run them out on a rail but just sat there in "are you fucking kidding me?" silence. That takes a lot more strength than I'd have, appalling how you have to deal with these

Dear God….I looked myself, these people need serious psychiatric help. "It's as real as the Blair Witch Project….where were the medevac choppers…why are people having something to eat during this….why are parents not sobbing on camera?" Ugh.

Sadly, too many take the idea of any talk of gun restrictions to automatically mean "undo the 2nd amendment and take ALL OUR GUNS!"

I'm disappointed we never got the epic crossover clash with Surf Ninjas.

WrestleCrap's entry on the final film is a joy to read:

Just mentioned above. Wolfgang Habig is out there, doing tours and selling tickets on his attempt to "expose the folks profiting off this scam."

Was just reading of the father of one of the kids who was a serious conspiracy freak, Alex Jones fan, etc….and then he saw how folks were claiming his son never existed. He even joined a Facebook group on it to answer questions and had folks slamming him "how long you going to keep this up?"
He talked to Wolfgang

Remember how folks kept asking why Lucas couldn't do much else beyond Star Wars? Maaaaaaaybe that's a good thing in the end.

It's tricky with CW shows as they have a history of a pilot that's just okay before turning awesome (Arrow, Flash, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) but this looks good. List is great selling the "oh FUCK what did I do?" feeling at the end when she realizes how she's screwed things up and look forward to how it plays with her

Ugh, so sad to see Atwell join the ranks of "good actors in bad shows."

Man, Tony Scott….a good talent taken too soon as he really was a master of action. Washington was great grounding things in his movies with a good everyman charm. Love the bit in Unstoppable when the boss tells him to stop what he's doing or he's fired and Washington laughs that he got his 30-day pink slip 13 days ago
