Oh for fucks sake just buy an outback.

Sometimes the “I know you specified new but this 10 year old car makes more sense for your situation” is actually really helpful advice. It might not be what they want to hear, but these folks buy and sell cars for various uses quite often, their view is an experienced one.
WRX hatch would be the answer here, but Subaru forgot how to make those.
Nik should clarify if he lives in Boston or “Boston”. If he’s out in Waltham / Newton / Brighton and has garage parking those beautiful wagons make plenty of sense. If he’s in Boston proper and parking on the street, he should consider something that will live a short brutal life.
I’ve seen enough Calvin’s peeing on <insert manufacturer here> to know they brand identity in NASCAR is worth every penny.
I have a strange and pointless fascination with Reattas. While objectively I know they are crap I find them oddly attractive. Even from a rational standpoint if it doesn’t take too much to get them running we’re probably talking Nice Price.
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say no they aren’t because somewhere there’s fine print that said if you go on our slopes whatever happens is on you.
This. I've seen single filament bulbs jammed into dual filament housings more than once as well
For sure, especially if it is an internal slave cylinder (no idea how these heaps are configured). Once that tranny is out, do EVERYTHING while you are in there.
For the signals, check the actual bulbs/lamps before you chase wires. With dual filament lamps, a broken filament can hang down and cross one to the other.
Depending on the state, sometimes the fine print doesn’t even protect them from negligence. Often the real purpose of waivers is merely to convince the injured person they don’t have a case and don’t bother pursing it.
Your clutch doesn’t need an adjustment, you need a new throwout bearing (and you might as well put a clutch in it while you are in there). But it might go a long, long time like that, just don’t hold the pedal to the floor at lights - put it in neutral and let the clutch out to save as much wear and tear as possible.
My Gen 3 Camaro had the same problem with the shifter popping up and down. It’s the rear transmission mount. In the 3rd gens, it’s a liquid filled mount that’s prone to failure and expensive to replace thanks to relative rarity of manual transmission cars. Hopefully the 4th gen version has a more replaceable part. On…
Exactly, you can waive your right to sue for the reasonably expected hazards of a hazardous activity. You cannot waive right to sue for something so batshit out there that nobody would have expected it. Normally lawyers profit from the inevitable gray area, but this one seems cut and dried. So to speak.

Jesus, that sounds like a fast track to hypothermic shock. They are lucky to be alive, that is the sort of shit that literally [not figuratively] gives people cardiac arrests. I hope the resort is comping their medical bills.
I was at Mecum this weekend, looking at a car I was seriously considering buying. Then I realized that needed to (a) buy a bid card for $2-500, (b) get pre approved as a bidder with proof of funds (c) figure out how to deal with a live auction, (d) somehow wire funds THAT DAY (Saturday) to pay for a car. In terms of…
