#4 - Back in 2018 when I was buying my most recent truck (and meets your dated criteria), this was NOT the case.

Trucks 3 year old trucks with 30k miles that were equivalent in options were going for 3-4k less than what I paid for my new truck. Trust me, I looked at lot as I’m typically a used buyer and normally get

this thing looks amazing!

Yup. Remember guitar solos? (Pepperidge Farms remembers). They’ve mostly been replaced with rap solos.

Can I just say I know absolutely nothing about bike parts or bike history, but reading about your projects and the interesting tidbits about frames and whatnot is so damn fascinating! I had an older Panasonic bike that a friend refurbished for me that I used to use when I was still in Manhattan, so I understand the

I’m not sure I trust the opinion of fish kissers.

This is actually a step up from the previous generation Mirai, at least to my eyes.

I’m definitely not a rim brake hater, but I would go with a fork that allows a disc on the front, even if it’s mechanical, like an Avid BB7. I built a cruiser out of a ‘64 Spaceliner step-through frame that has a mechanical front disc and rear coaster (SA 3 speed IGH) and it impressively stops that overweight brute

It’s also not a plug-in hybrid, or a plug-in car of any sort. The hydrogen Mirai is a bizarre choice to illustrate this story with.

My lord these things are absolutely atrocious to look at. I’ve kissed a fish that was better looking.

For a sedan, ES300h or Avalon Hybrid. They’re built specifically to be quiet, very comfortable, and economical on fuel.

At $50,000 I’m tempted to say he needs to get a Sienna Hybrid or look for a plug-in hybrid SUV. Car prices are pretty nuts right now though, so I won’t recommend that at the moment.  Plus, those vehicles are kinda overkill for one kid.

-20 pts for failure to show your work!

You’re all wrong! OBVIOUSLY what he needs is this 1930 Ford Model A hotrod with a Chevy 454 mated to a 3 speed Turbo Hydramatic 400 automatic transmission.

Carlos, you’re coming to America, so why not go all-in?! Ford (its notta) Mustang Mach-E. They start at just under $44,000 without the $7500 tax credit. Can’t get quieter than an EV, should have adequate space for 1 baby and their stuff. And best of all, a shrimp-filled frunk!!!

Anybody with kids in car seats should just get a minivan and call it good. You’ll never regret having the space, and having half of the side of the vehicle slide out of the way for you to load up the kids is a Godsend. Vans are relatively fuel efficient, and people know it’s a family hauler so you typically get a

Quite, comfortable, good MPH - yeah no shocker that a upper-level Toyota/Lexus are here.

The Sonata’s only real drawback is they lowered the rear roofline from the previous generation, which will make installing baby seats a head-smasher.

Plus, the TLX is a full-size sedan with a generous back seat and trunk to fit both the stroller and baby seat easy.

Between this and the VW 4 series post from yesterday, I'm beginning to see the alternate Torchinsky automotive universe taking shape. It's a pretty interesting place. I can't wait to see Tatra's new minivan and utility vehicle lineup. This could use an update.
