We had one. It was actually a really good car for us, until totalled by someone trying to pass us while we were turning left. The only real problem we ever had with it was a weak battery now and then, from some electrical issue. It never even went fully dead, just weak.

I understand each of your choices, other than the Altima. And I understand that well enough, too.  Nissan was once a much better automaker.

I love these articles.

It’s not a French race car without the ELF sticker, is it?

Good plan, but you should have someone else pick your cars. You picked three of the worst in their respective categories in a row.

You also might want to remember not to piss on your host’s leg when you stop in for dinner. And don’t call them the worst at their job, or call their writing idiocy, especially if that is their means of making a living.  Somehow I get the feeling that the criticism was other than “mild”.

I love it but would still take the Tesla. Stainless steel doesn’t rust.

Bullshit. I won’t keep this in the front of my mind, but I know that if I ever move to the Dallas/Fort Worth area, I’ll remember this story when I see that dealer’s name, and shop there first when it’s time for a new car.

Now I’m extra glad I got the Town and Country over the Sienna. I really wanted the Toyota for the perceived reliability edge, but in 5 years of ownership, our T&C averages 20 mpg around the city, and 26 mpg fully loaded on the highway at 75-80 mph during road trips. All on regular gas, and we haven’t had any

It would only sell because everything sells right now.

Have you ever been inside a men’s room?

I get the extension you suggest, and “functional and durable” are good key words for taxi service worldwide.

Taxi fleets in Europe have been luxury cars since there have been taxi fleets, at least in most of Europe.

I just replied to someone else with the same answer.

Hell yeah. Don’t dink around with something used. Warranty for the win.

I strongly suspect you got one that was very well abused by someone before you. Fusions are altogether decent cars. The ones I’ve driven (three so far) drive far nicer than your description, especially regarding the steering and response to bumps in the road.

Cutting old wood boats for firewood is no fun at all.

As mentioned by Torch, they kept the big tank option year over year for racing.

The new mini FJ looks pretty cool, and so does the white truck, but I’m really interested in the green and black Micro Box and larger Box vehicles in the back row on the right.

Someone else has already explained how the weight of the batteries is only part of the car. It’s meaningless to even mention that separately unless you’re pushing an agenda.
