I went with a little bit of a different setup for a friend recently but still ended up under $500.

@wingbatwu: why wouldn't you need a bottle opener on a bike ride?

does anyone know if you can accept NFC payments on a phone?

WOW! this is really awesome.

@kaffenated: using the iPad as a camera would suck. however it would be nice if you could instantly stream or transfer video between the iPhone and iPad.

VOTE: Music - Subsonic / Video - Airvideo

@blyan is nominal too?: I did and have been very happy with it, and I keep all the packaging and it is in excellent condition and they are selling for upwards of $450 on ebay which means I will get back all but about $100 of what I paid. $100 for a one year rental was definitely worth it.

@pipetjockey: must pale in comparison to your accomplishments.

@Curare: yes go into the google voice settings and uncheck the setting that says "receive text messages on this phone" they will still come into the google voice app and be pushed but they won't be forwarded to your at&t number

@FuzzyCholo: I'm with you, look at that tattoo.......douchebag

I bet you're a sausage cream gravy guy...........

you hear that ladies? spreading your legs is good for your health

doesnt really apply to SoCal (the high today is 91) but I am a twice a day shower-er. morning and after workout. feel really dirty and greasy if I miss either.

Groundwire works really well as a VOIP app, and its only $10 once. use it with SipGate and Google Voice and its only $35 a month

@xido: excellent point, I paid $500 and they are on ebay right now for $400-420. i kept mine in brand new condition and have all the original packaging and that is what I will be doing when gen 2 comes out

@SEDAGIVE?!: hence the request for an Apple gift card

@SEDAGIVE?!: you may want to ask for a gift certificate to Apple instead, Jobs is likely to announce the 2nd Gen iPad in January.

its running the same software as their Harmony Remotes, so it should be awesome. love my Harmony Remote and already use my phone to control my XBMC box. being able to turn everything on and control volume on the stereo receiver with my phone sounds awesome

ditched it, dont miss it, get all my local channels and sports via OTA antennae and any games I wanna see that are on National TV or cable I either head down to the local bar or a friends house
