Ford told Bernard that Delos was watching the guests, not the hosts, to see how they would react to predicated story lines. He also mentioned that Bernard went through a series of fidelity tests, like Papa Delos did.

Classless ass didn’t even congratulate Foles. Walked off the field like a petulant 5 year old. Even Hobo Bill hugged and chatted up Dougie P after the game. Shut up with this “GOAT crap b/c someone who is great is someone who has sportsmanship and class. Brady has neither. All he has is a permanent asterisk next to…
Michael was making the point that sometimes people need a push to find their true nature. In Jason’s case, we’re learning that he’s not inherently bad, he’s just not smart enough to recognize who is or is not a good influence for him. His romances with Janet and Tahani have shown he’s a sweet, devoted, selfless person…
“And then there are the issues about the good people in the Good Place ignoring the torment of others. If you are a person who would enjoy eternal happiness while other people are being eternally tortured how could you deserve place in the Good Place in the first place?”
“I’m going to speculate that there actually is no “Good Place” and the whole system is meant to keep anyone from finding out.”
A subsequent season has the entire gang working in Michael-like capacity in a special “place” (created by Michael), helping people from The Bad Place who have been deemed worthy of a “second chance” get into The Good Place. They shepherd them towards redemption via their own experiences, advice, and interaction…
Remains of the Day.
Anthony Hopkins says more with his eyes in 3 seconds than 250 pages of dry-as-Melania’s-cooter internal monologue
I love Luc Besson. “Le Femme Nikita” is one of my all-time favorites. This is the man who made “Leon: The Professional”. But I walked out of “The Messenger”.
“Remains of the Day”
I know Kazuo Ishiguro just won the Nobel Prize for literature, but the novella pales in self-important comparison to the brilliant, beautiful movie. Anthony Hopkins does more with his eyes in this film than with any line of dialogue.
Um, top photo is NOT a photo of the Florida panhandle. The part of Florida you can’t see in the pic is the panhandle.
Same goes for King Kong movies. I’ve never once encountered a person who’s said “gee, I hope there’s a new Kong movie soon”.
Dear Internet,
I was hooked forever when Ted Danson kicked a dog into the sun.
In a world where Kevin James gets another tv series, I’ll take pretentiousness in whatever form it may come, glazed with rain, beside the red wheelbarrow
The only way this works is if it’s Chris Pratt playing Andy Dwyer who gets to use the suit to become a real-life crime-fighting Johnny Karate. And the Robert Culp character is played by Nick Offerman and is named Burt Maclin.
What bothered me most is that Bones is supposed to be so savant-like in her intelligence, but fails to question that Gen Howe spent almost 35 years in England AFTER the war (he also left North America before it ended), but here’s his body and a story about Washington wanting him to be buried in the Capitol building? I…
Not sure if it qualifies as a conspiracy theory, but I’ve always wondered if there really were dragons at one point considering almost every culture on earth has depictions of them in ancient art & architecture. So many disparate peoples from across the globe all have images of the same ‘mythological’ creature? This…
Northern Exposure.
Too bad Janine Turner has gone over the fundie deep end, though.
Great story, but contains way too many pages of dry, overly-technical, unnecessary-to-the-plot, owners-manual-type descriptors of every single mechanical item mentioned.
Silo series by Hugh Howey. Perfect for a GoT-type treatment on something like HBO or Netflix
