Thanks for shining some light on this game! I’ve never heard of it, and it speaks directly to my interests.

That's an English trailer with an ESRB logo. I think it's safe to say we have word on an international release.

Of course there will, because we KNOW those puddles were developed the same time as the rest of the game, and they hacked it up to sell it to us later in pieces! Again, fatcats.

I wanted a game with puddles, and you’re offering me a game with fewer puddles? Preorder canceled. Let’s make sure this game is a failure to send a message to the fatcats at Sony: we want puddles.

Hubs like that are really great for the living room. We had a legion of chargers for tablets, phones, laptops, etc, and now we just have this one thing plugged in.

It’s a question of rights, not technical feasibility. They need to talk to him (or, more likely, his agent) and get him to agree to let them do it. It’ll be a negotiation, and he (or, much more likely, his agent) could want a lot more than they could spend.

I was just thinking this is a series that’s due for a comeback. Rereleases are a great way to kick that off.

Monster World 4 was never released in English until this collection. I played it through, it holds up really well!

You treat it like a foregone conclusion that this will go nowhere. This is a “tribute video,” but I view it more like a pitch video. It’s from a successful, proven indie developer. Square Enix has said outright that, if they’re not doing anything with an IP (Legacy of Kain, Fear Effect, etc), they’re open to letting

Lizardcube did AMAZING work on Wonder Boy.

Perhaps this system we’re spitballing could simply be a new model PS4. Already has a tremendous library of games ready to go. Games could be patched to run more efficiently and at lower resolution when undocked. Unpatched games would eat the battery quickly, but what can you do. The PS5 would be fully backwards

Honestly, the Vita/PSTV combo was almost there: same games and save files on the go and at home. It was my favorite way to play. If they had just made a TV dock for the Vita, we’d have one system pulling double duty, just like this. I’m hoping that the Switch dominance will make them decide to make a new portable with

Good to see Wario Ware up there.

Can anyone think of a game, not tied to a hardware launch, that met a release date publicized over a year before release?

Wow. I thought for sure after being caught with the reddest of hands, he’d disappear. But saying that it was an accident, and then flat-out denying the FIFA plagiarism is simply unbelievable. Just... wow.

That’s not how I read it. I read “beta and launch” as meaning both the beta and the full release, not as any sort of timed exclusive deal.

What’s cool about the Centipede/Millipede/Missile Command/Crystal Castles cabinet is that those are all trackball games, so the cabinet has a trackball. We’re all used to playing emulated or ported versions with digital controls, but the analog version is a different beast.

Rule of Halves. Whenever a publisher gives you an hour count, half it.

I have one of these. Love it. And I do recommend the voice remote; even though voice itself is a nice-but-inessential feature, the fact that it uses WiFi Direct instead of IR is a night and day difference.

Paying someone to “celebrate” how great your product is certainly sounds like the literal definition of an ad.
